Due to the Pumpkin Promenade event, the following road closures will take place on October 31, 2025 from 2-7 p.m:

- Broadway Street closed from Main to Lansing.
- Main Street closed from Broadway to Illinois.
- Cats Meow Alley closed.

The Pumpkin Promenade is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 31. Children 12 and under are invited to dress in their Halloween costume, trick-or-treat at downtown businesses, and enjoy all the free, outdoor family fun. Additional parking is available at City Hall (320 W. Broadway Street).

We’re Celebrating 2 Years!
Two years ago, Pleasant Psychology opened its doors with a simple mission: to provide compassionate, child-focused mental health care in the heart of Mount Pleasant.
Since then, we’ve grown into a stronger team, moved into a beautiful downtown space, and have had the privilege of walking alongside so many children, families in our community.

You Can Make a Difference This Su***de Awareness Month

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can bring the most light to someone’s darkest days. If you notice a friend, coworker, or family member struggling, here are practical ways you can help:

-Start the conversation. A simple “How are you really doing?” can open the door.
-Listen without judgment. You don’t need to have all the answers; just being there matters.
-Offer specific support. Instead of “Let me know if you need anything,” try “Can I bring dinner over tomorrow?” or “Want me to drive you to your appointment?”
-Encourage professional help. Remind them that reaching out to a counselor, doctor, or hotline is a sign of strength.
-Check in regularly. Even a quick text saying, “I’m thinking of you” can mean more than you know.
-Be kind to people
