Join us as we celebrate our incredible November Employees of the Month 🥳

Alexis Courtney has been such a wonderful addition to the team! She consistently goes above and beyond, helping her consumer not only achieve current goals but also set new ones with confidence. Whether supporting daily life skills or engaging in meaningful activities, Alexis brings creativity, kindness, dedication, and self-motivation to everything she does. She takes initiative without hesitation and is truly a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, she has built a strong, trusting bond with her consumer, making a lasting positive impact each day.

Ben Mason was nominated by his Lead Staff! She said the following about him: Ben has grown so much in the year he has been with us. He works hard every day to build and strengthen his relationships with the guys, and it really shows. He puts in the effort necessary to learn the various tasks of his job to the best of his ability. He is always willing to help out and has often stepped up to fill shifts on short notice. We appreciate him very much!

Melissa Moreland has made a tremendously positive impact on her consumers’ lives, helping them navigate numerous changes with patience and dedication. Her communication has been excellent, and she consistently thinks creatively to provide support wherever it is needed. Melissa has also assisted in other areas, which we greatly appreciate. Thank you for not only being an outstanding employee but also for demonstrating genuine care and compassion for others.

Laura Murray always goes above and beyond to not only support her team but to find meaningful ways to make her consumers life more enjoyable. She brings kindness, patience, and a genuinely welcoming attitude to every shift, creating a positive environment for both her consumer and team. She’s always so polite, communicates clearly, and gives off such great energy. We are so thankful for the compassion and dedication she shows every single day. Laura, Thank you for everything you do, you truly make a difference!

Caleb Vaughn has been a valued member of the CHS team since July. In that time, he has done an exceptional job building strong, trusting relationships with his consumers and their families. He is dependable, reliable, and consistently goes above and beyond in his role. Caleb demonstrates endless patience and a genuinely caring heart in everything he does. He is a pleasure to work with, and his positive attitude makes a meaningful impact on both his team and the individuals he supports. Thank you, Caleb, for all that you do—keep up the great work!

CHS is proud to announce our Employees of the Month for October 🎃

Lorrie Birdsall will celebrate her 19th CHS Anniversary in a few months! She was nominated by her Lead Staff, who had this to say about her: “Lorrie has been such a welcome addition to our team! She comes in every day with a positive attitude and a smile for everyone. She is thoughtful and kind and really works hard to brighten everyone’s day. She has built excellent relationships with consumers and coworkers alike. She has been such an incredible support to me as a lead, lending her years of experience and knowledge. We are truly lucky to have her.”

Jessica Davenport is an incredibly hard worker who is always willing to help wherever she’s needed. She consistently has gone above and beyond to fill open shifts. Over the past month, she has truly shined, stepping up time and time again without hesitation. The consumers Jessica supports have nothing but amazing things to say about her and share how grateful they are to have her as their caregiver. Her dedication, positive attitude, and compassion make a difference every day. We are so thankful for everything you’ve done, and we appreciate all the hard work!

Isabelle Holt does a fantastic job staying productive and engaging with her consumer. She’s always cheerful, dedicated, and creative in keeping her happy, active, and involved. Her positivity and enthusiasm shine through in everything she does. She’s also a great team player always willing to help others, share new ideas, and try new approaches. Thank you, Isabelle for your outstanding work and for being such a positive influence on everyone around you!

Melissa Kile is Lead Staff in one of our Midland homes and has been a dedicated and dependable member of our team for many years. Her commitment to the individuals we support is truly inspiring! The consumers trust her deeply because she consistently advocates for their needs and ensures they receive the highest quality of care. Melissa’s strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative make her an exceptional leader. She is always willing to step in and assist staff whenever needed, setting an excellent example of teamwork, compassion, and professionalism. We’re so grateful for all that you do!

Tina Slack is a respite provider in the Lansing area who has already made a wonderful impact since joining CHS in July. She has such a kind heart and truly cares for the consumers and families she works with. Tina always finds activities that match her consumers’ interests and makes sure they get the most out of their time together. Her compassion and dedication shine through in everything she does. We’re so grateful to have you on the CHS team, Tina — thank you for all that you do!
