⭐️BUBBLE TOWER FUN⭐️

With just a bowl of water, a drop of dish soap, and a thin straw, kids can work on so many important skills while having a blast:
✨ Oral motor strength (for speech + feeding)
✨ Breath control & pacing
✨ Sensory regulation & calming input
✨ Social goals like turn-taking + interaction

Our therapists love this activity because it feels like play, but it’s secretly building the muscles and skills kids need for everyday life. 💪💜

Try it at home:
Fill a bowl with water + a sq**rt of dish soap
Add food coloring for fun 🎨
Blow through a thin straw and watch the bubble tower grow!

🧡My greatest joy working as a pediatric SLP is encouraging each child to find their voice and realize the importance of sharing their ideas with others is paramount! My biggest professional accomplishment has been the creation of this clinic; creating a safe space for children and their family members to feel supported, encouraged, heard and most importantly loved, in a manner that fosters growth and development.

🤪Fun Facts: I drive a jeep Wrangler and love playing the game “Duck, Duck, Jeep!” with rubber ducks. I get so much joy from being surprised with a silly rubber duckie. I also love exploring new restaurants in Charleston.

✨ Today we celebrate Ms. Dru’s 6-year anniversary with our clinic! We are extremely grateful for her leadership as the speech departmental manager AND connections specialist!!! Her enthusiasm, love for the kids, and incredible leadership make such a difference every single day—we are extremely grateful for her 💙

🧡My greatest joy working as a pediatric SLP is helping kids learn to functionally communicate. I believe in the power of play and that every therapy session should be filled with exploration, laughter, and fun. Communication is necessary in every aspect of life and being able to help children find their voice is so impactful.

📣Fun Facts: I was a cheerleader my whole life. I was an all-star cheerleader and collegiate level cheerleader. I loved everything about that sport, and believe it’s the reason for my energy and enthusiasm to this day. I can still do a back handspring too.

🫶🏻 I also have a love for animals. My dog is the greatest part of my life. He has dealt with several medical complexities throughout his life but I find no greater joy than to help take care of him and be his person.

💙🌊 Our hearts are with the incredible Surfers Healing community after this year’s event was re worked due to Hurricane Erin. Safety always comes first, and we are so grateful for all the love, dedication, and joy this event brings to children and families every year. We’ll be cheering even louder next year—can’t wait to see the waves filled with smiles again! 🏄‍♂️✨
