Our residents spent an entire week reminiscing on inventions, breakthroughs, and “you had to be there” moments from their lifetime. From record players to AI, each era brought laughter, learning, and plenty of “I remember that!” moments. ❤️✨

🥧 Kicking Off November with Our Cooking Club! 🥧

Today we started the month off right — with mini pot pies! Everyone got to make their own creation just the way they liked it. We had chicken, cheese, veggies, and plenty of seasonings to choose from, all wrapped up in flaky pastry puffs.

We were also joined by some wonderful CMU students who volunteered and helped make the activity extra special. It was such a joy having their energy, kindness, and company in our community! 💛

There were smiles all around as everyone rolled up their sleeves, got their hands in the flour, and baked up something delicious. The best part? Enjoying their homemade pies fresh out of the oven with lunch!

Nothing like good food, good company, and new friendships to start November off right. ❤️

Just wanted to take a moment to celebrate all the amazing things we’ve been doing during our Memory Care evening activities! 💛

Our care staff truly make it feel like home — from storytelling and trivia games to marble-dipping pumpkins, painting, crafting, and simply spending time together. It’s all about connection, creativity, and joy.

🎉🎂 Crestwood Village Assisted Living came together to celebrate Betty’s remarkable 101st birthday! The day was filled with all her favorite things, a true reflection of a life well-lived and deeply loved. 💙🎉✨

What a strong and amazing spirit — we’re so grateful we got to celebrate her today! 💙

Betty’s favorite color is blue, so of course we made sure her party table was full of blue balloons and festive touches. When we asked what she wanted for her birthday, she said something cozy — so she treated herself to the softest PJ set we’ve ever felt!

Our culinary team baked her a special, personalized mini Bundt cake, and Betty lit up with a big smile as everyone wished her well. She said her new pajamas were “beautiful.”

🍪 Today’s Culinary Display: Betty K’s Caramel Refrigerator Cookies 🍪

Today we featured Betty K's Caramel Refrigerator Cookies, a beloved recipe she first learned in her early adulthood after finding it in a magazine. Her grandkids loved them — and so did we! The cookies came out perfectly soft with just the right amount of sweetness (definitely not too sweet!).

Betty Kay shared that sometimes she likes to make them thin so they get a little bit of a crunch — and honestly, they’re delicious either way.

✨10 of our incredible Chefs represented StoryPoint Group at the inaugural American Culinary Federation (ACF) Senior Living Challenge, held in partnership with the Michigan Chefs de Cuisine Association in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This first-of-its-kind, ACF-sanctioned event was created exclusively for senior living chefs — challenging them to prepare flavorful, health-focused dishes using only whole, fresh ingredients in just one hour.

Our team rose to the occasion, each earning a medal or diploma for their creativity, skill, and professionalism.

Today we celebrate Doyle, who has always been known for his great sense of humor and warm personality. Doyle proudly served our country as a veteran, and we’re so thankful for his service and dedication. His friends tell us he was an excellent shot and a true sportsman — and it’s easy to see that same strong spirit in him today.

We were so glad to have his friends join in to make his special day even brighter. When we asked Doyle what he wanted for his birthday, he said, “something warm and sweet,” so we served up some cozy pumpkin pie — and it was a hit! 🥧🎃

🎃👻 Crestwood Village Halloween 2025 – Our Best One Yet! 👻🎃

What a fang-tastic night at Crestwood Village! 🕸️ We had hundreds of visitors join us for our spooktacular Halloween celebration, and this year we added a creepy new feature — our Spook House Potion Station! 🧪💀 Kids got to mix bubbling potions, feel “hearts,” “intestines,” and “eyeballs,” and even play our new Zombie Toss Game!

Our amazing residents had a boo-tiful time handing out candy to all the little ghouls and goblins, and the smiles (and screams!) made the night one to remember. 🧡

A special shout-out to our culinary team for keeping everyone’s spirits high with delicious donuts, cider, and trail mix — the perfect spooky season treats! 🍩☕🍎

🎃 And a big thank you to everyone who donated candy — your generosity helped make this event so sweet (literally)! 🍬🕷️

A huge thank you to all our staff for making this event possible. Your creativity and teamwork brought the magic (and mischief!) to life. 👏💀

🍂 Crestwood Village Farmers Market 🍎

Today we hosted our annual Crestwood Village Farmers Market, and it was everything we love about fall! Our culinary team created a beautiful autumn display filled with delicious homemade treats — from mini apple and cherry pies to muffins, Rice Krispie treats, trail mix, fresh fruit cups, donuts, and chocolate-covered pretzels.

Residents and staff enjoyed browsing, filling their bags with goodies to take home, and soaking in the cozy fall atmosphere. With cheerful seasonal music playing in the background, it was the perfect way to celebrate the flavors and colors of autumn. 🍁

This event is always a favorite — thank you to everyone who helped make it another wonderful day at Crestwood Village!

Her style is always on point, her warmth lights up every room, and her years working at a school as a principal have inspired so many. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our Crestwood family!
