Every emotion belongs somewhere — and all feelings are okay 💙💚💛❤️

The Zones of Regulation give kids (and parents!) a simple way to understand what’s happening inside:
🔵 Blue Zone: When energy is low — feeling tired, sad, or bored.
🟢 Green Zone: When you’re calm, happy, and ready to learn.
🟡 Yellow Zone: When energy starts to rise — feeling silly, worried, or frustrated.
🔴 Red Zone: When emotions feel big — angry, upset, or out of control.

At Kinspire, our occupational therapists partner with families to bring tools like this to life—helping kids build emotional awareness and giving parents a shared language and strategies to support their child and guide them as they move between zones.

Does this sound like your typical after-school?
Backpacks dropped by the door.
Someone’s hungry. Someone’s melting down.
Homework’s half-started, dinner’s burning, and emotions are running high.

Sometimes what’s needed most—for kids and parents—isn’t more structure or more activities.
It’s a pause. ⏸️

A short, dedicated time to regulate and transition from one environment to the next.
That moment can turn chaos into connection and help everyone reset before diving into the rest of the evening. 🌿

Does this sound like your child?
The bell rings, the hallway fills with noise and bodies, and your child clamps their hands over their ears, trying not to shut down before the day even begins.
Or maybe they can’t sit still during morning meeting because their body needs to move before they can focus.
