💫Learning Coach Spotlight💫. Mrs. Laura Parks/ELA Expert/Barre Extraordinaire/Passion Pusher. Mrs. Parks is our 6th grade Reading and Writing Instructor, MS/HS Grammar Instructor, Elementary LegoRobotics Coach, and fun Friday Learning Coach! Sharing her passion for reading with students and assisting them in finding novels that shape their lives as readers is just one of many reasons she loves to teach! Mrs. Parks is full of fun and positive energy and she brings a lot of magic and charisma to our village. We are blessed by her constant joy and enthusiasm. SOTW this week is our sweet Lucy! Lucy has engaged daily in virtual instruction with a happy heart and has turned in all of her daily assignments without reminders. She has juggled staying on task from afar, working alongside her two brothers as they also engage in distance learning. Lucy has shown perseverance during this time and we are so proud! Mrs. Snook joined our village this year with over 25 years of classroom teaching experience. Born in Eastern North Carolina, she has called South Carolina her home for the past forty years. Learning Coach Spotlight💫. Mrs. Connie Finkelstein/Lucy Calkins Guru/Mrs.F. If you know her, you love her. Mrs. F, most commonly referred to as the MS/HS learning coach, wears many hats at Village Academics, including 7/8 Reading and Writing Workshop instructor, LegoRobotics coach, and Design Thinking expert/instructor. She inspires daily with her larger than life enthusiastic approach to learning. Her knowledge and experience crosses multiple grade levels, and her deep understanding of how scholars learn and achieve excellence is evident as she brings mindfulness and relevance to her daily instruction and interactions with the scholars she cares so deeply about. Mrs. F brings Advisory meetings to life daily, inspiring thought, connectivity, and collaboration within our village of learners. Perry continues to complete and submit all of her assignments, participate in all morning messages while submitting a daily academic plan, and attends and engages thoughtfully in all virtual classes.
