👋 Say hello to Heather! Born and raised in Charleston, Heather recently graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Chemistry. She joins our team as a Clinical Assistant, bringing a strong background in neurobiology and chronic pain research - work she’s currently preparing for publication. 🧬📚 Outside the clinic, Heather is gearing up to apply to medical school. When she’s not immersed in science and medicine, she loves spending time with her dogs and playing the flute. 🎵🐶 We’re thrilled to have Heather’s energy and expertise on our team!

👋 Meet Abbi! Abbi is the welcoming face at our front desk here at Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Centers! Originally from North Canton, Ohio, she’s been loving life in Charleston for nearly two years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Ohio Dominican University, where she also played on the volleyball team 🏐. When she’s not helping patients, Abbi enjoys staying active, trying new foods, and spending time with her friends, family, and her cat, Enzo 🐾

I was unable to raise the front of my foot caused by damage to the peroneal nerve. However, today I am very hopeful of the outcome. I am experiencing a significant improvement in raising the foot and walking since the start of my journey. Even though the journey is far from over I am pleased with the results so far.
