We are a PRIVATELY OWNED two doctor small animal practice located in the Old Village district of Mount Pleasant. We are owned by the colorful Dr. Brian King. Dr. King believes in creating a positive and fun culture by providing rewards and incentives for excellent customer service and teamwork. Pet Vet is not your typical cold and impersonal hospital environment. We pride ourselves on having a team where everyone brings something different to the table that complements each other’s strengths. Since unity and team building are important to us, we offer multiple after hours team building outings throughout the year. Some past examples include pottery painting, visiting the Van Gogh Experience that came to Charleston, a yearly private sunset costume cruise in October, various concerts and much more! Because work/life balance is a priority, time off is encouraged and respected. Therefore, those outings are never required, just offered. In addition to dogs and cats, we also treat orphaned and injured wildlife of all shapes and sizes. We have seen it all - from injured pelicans to orphaned squirrels, and everything in between! In addition to our 4.9 Google rating, we are also very proud of the fact that we have won Best Of Mount Pleasant multiple times! Cornerstone experience is a plus but not a must.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Experienced applicants only. We prefer licensed applicants but will consider experienced applicants as well. Must have at least 2 years of technician experience
Position is F/T
Cornerstone experience a plus but not a must.
Applicants must be proficient with (but not limited to):
Drawing blood
Radiology
Getting a thorough patient history
Administering medications
Placing IV catheters and setting up fluids
Assisting in surgery
Administering & monitoring anesthesia
Recovering surgical patients
Answering basic medical questions
Knowledge/ability to handle emergency situations
Bandaging
Performing lab tests such as in house blood work, ear smear, skin cytology, urinalysis
WHAT WE OFFER:

Holiday pay. We pay 10 hours for holidays that we are closed all day. We are closed Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day. We are open a half day on New Year’s Eve. Staff that works that day receives bonus pay in addition to their normal pay.
SCHEDULE:
Must be able to work rotating Saturdays. We are open 8am-12pm on Saturdays.
We are CLOSED EVERY SUNDAY
We are open Mon-Thurs 8am-6pm, Fri 8am-5pm, Sat 8am-12pm
We close one hour for lunch Mon-Fri
One consistent weekday off during the week plus every Sunday off
Pay is $18-$20/hr negotiable based on level of experience
