At 92, Roslyn, a resident at Atria Tarzana, still arrives early for her hospital volunteer shifts, bright blue jacket on, ready to help. For 13 years, she’s delivered flowers, transported patients and run errands with a smile. Beyond the tasks, she’s built friendships and found purpose that keep her energized in retirement.

At Atria Forest Hills, there is an extraordinary culinary duo leading the kitchen. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The Director of Culinary Services, Stacey, and Cook, Javier, bring passion and creativity to every dish – from Chicken Florentine to resident favorites like meatballs and tiramisu. Stacey followed her dream of becoming a chef after studying nursing, and Javier finds joy in crafting meals from scratch and seeing residents’ smiles in return. "I really find fulfillment from positive feedback, especially from residents," Javier says.

We celebrate Stacey, Javier and all of our awesome culinary teams for the flavor, care and heart they bring to our communities every day.

Memory care residents at Atria Newport Beach had a great time making no bake mini cinnamon rolls. "They were easy to make, smelled absolutely delicious and were very tasty," reported Lucia, the community's Memory Care Director.

Residents from Atria Lincoln Place stretched and smiled alongside the adorable animals at Roots Heaven Farm.

Mel, one of the residents who attended, even came decked out in her farm finery – a pink cowgirl hat.

Christopher and his team whipped up made-to-order omelets for the community's memory care neighborhood, making sure each resident got their favorite ingredients and some face time with the chef.

We know it's the little things that can make all the difference.

Javon, Resident Services Assistant at Atria Park of Ann Arbor, was awarded "Employee of the Month" for always going above and beyond for residents. His fellow teammates appreciate that he goes out of his way to make sure residents feel their best, and does it all with a smile.

Recently, he assisted Lorna to dinner and realized something wasn't quite right. "She always likes to wear her earrings and look her best," he shares. "So I went back to get them for her. She needed those earrings to feel like herself!"

Every month we choose an organization to support and for November we chose East Cooper Community Outreach and hosted a canned food drive. Residents and staff donated 251 lbs worth of non-perishable items for their pantry! Way to go Atria Family!!

We bundled up on Friday and walked the Pitt Street Bridge and afterwards enjoyed lunch and ice cream in Old Village at the Pharmacy!

This Veterans Day we honored 30 men and women in our community that made the ultimate sacrifice for this Country! We celebrated this special day with a donut social, a Veterans Day program, a patriotic happy hour with live music and a delicious surf and turf steak and lobster dinner!

As we honor our veterans and remember their great deeds, let us also salute those who are currently fighting for our freedom.

We had a Spooktacular time at our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat last week! This has become one of the biggest events for our community each year and something our residents, staff and our outside vendors look forward to. Thanks to everyone who participated and made it such an unforgettable night! We enjoyed seeing all of your costumes and decorations! 🎃👻

Residents enjoyed a tea party and sharing their favorite books with the group that they just recently read and some swapped books! Due to Hurricane Milton activity, our area is currently under Tropical Storm Watch and High Surf Advisory.
We’re in the process of completing our preparation checklist to shelter in place. Rest assured, we have plenty of food, water and emergency supplies on hand. We’re encouraging residents to keep their emergency pendants and personal devices charged.
