Ronald Craig Taylor, who went by his middle name Craig, returned to the welcoming arms of his beloved mother, and father, on a sunny January 5th, 2025. He was 68 years old. He was driving his trusty old steed, his '57 Chevy pickup, when he suffered what is believed to have been a massive heart attack. Some of his nieces and nephews believe the last thing he did in this life was to steer the old truck off of the right side of the highway so as to avoid oncoming traffic, so nobody else would get hurt.

Craig was born in Salt Lake City on May 31st, 1956, to R.L. and Carlene Anderson Taylor, who had left Sanpete for the big city after they got married. Craig grew up in Salt Lake and attended Granite High School. He left home around the age of 17, bound and determined to forge a life for himself. He never graduated from high school but subsequently earned a GED, the Certificate of High School Equivalency. Craig went to work in the construction industry, ultimately becoming proficient in many of the construction trades, but nobody was better with a cement finishing trowel in their hand than Craig. He was an ace cement finisher. At one point, he even hired on with a company that took him to Japan. There was an interest there in American building practices, and they needed skilled craftsmen. Ultimately, though, right around 1990, Craig went to work for the Utah State Department of Corrections, becoming a line officer at the Central Utah Correctional Facility (CUCF) in Gunnison. If you knew Craig from his days working at the prison in Gunnison, you might have known him as R.C. That was how he signed his name in that environment. There weren't many front-line officers who were as good as Craig when a situation became difficult or even dangerous. Craig proved himself to be a man you could count on when the chips were down.

Craig served the people of Utah in law enforcement for some 24 years, retiring from Corrections circa 2014. He spent most of his retirement working, at a discounted rate, for his parents, helping renovate various rental properties of theirs. And he worked other odd jobs to supplement retirement, even going after and earning a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

In the movie Paint Your Wagon, they say that the three best things in life are, in no particular order, to***co, alcohol, and women. Craig was a connoisseur of all three. He loved women so much he married, and divorced, three of them. Craig's first wife, Linda, brought two young children to their marriage. Lytton and Mylinda. Craig loved them as his own, and did his best to help raise them. He and his second wife, Nancy, had a son of their own, Travis Craig Taylor. Travis was raised mostly by his mother in southern Utah, as per the divorce decree. Craig and his third wife, Dolly, were much better at being a fun-loving dating couple than a stodgy old married couple. Craig had tattoos of the names of his kids and all of his grandkids. He loved them very much.

Two days before Craig passed away, he had been at the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a serious case of pneumonia. Craig and the attending physician disagreed over whether Craig should stay, at least overnight, in the hospital. The doctor could see that this old man was stubborn, but what he didn't know was that Craig wasn't afraid of anything, not even death. So Craig went home. He didn't want to become "a pincushion in some hospital bed." Everyone who knew Craig knew that under a few crusty layers beat a heart of gold. But even his big heart could not survive pneumonia on top of a 50 year long two pack a day cigarette habit and an affinity for cold beer. Craig left this life the way he lived it. On his own terms.

Craig was preceded in death by his boy Lytton and his parents R.L. and Carlene. He is survived by his little brother Chad (Jeannette) Taylor, Mt. Pleasant; his beautiful sister Melanie (James) Hancey, Salt Lake City; his kids Mylinda, West Valley and Travis; grandkids, Samantha, Savannah, Lauren, Kaitlin and a slew of great grandkids. Per Craig's wishes, his body will be cremated. He once joked with his mother, just to get a rise out of her, that he wanted his ashes to be strewn over the Sanpete County Landfill. She was aghast. Nor did Craig wish to have a formal funeral. There will be a Celebration of Life to be held at a time still to be determined.

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that Kenneth Joel Allred passed away from cancer on December 3, 2024. Ken passed peacefully at home in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years, Dixie, and five of his six children.

Ken was the second child born to Arvel and Elva Allred, on August 23, 1944. Ken’s life revolved around his beautiful children and grandchildren. He didn’t want for anything else in life but to be surrounded by them. With each new grandchild and great grandchild, his heart swelled with so much love for each one.

Ken married his sweetheart when they were very young; he was 18-years old and she was 16. They spent 62 years building a wonderful life together with their children doing the things they loved the most.

Ken loved camping, fishing, hunting, and riding in the mountains with his family. As his children got older, he took his wife out dancing and they sang many songs together with him playing his guitar. Together, they spent 16 winters searching for gold in Arizona.

Ken was a hard worker. He was taught at a young age that nothing was handed to you on a silver platter. He ran his own companies for over 50 years, teaching his children how to run and work on heavy equipment. He taught his children the same valuable lessons of working hard, always with integrity, and to apply their best effort in everything they do. His wife was so proud of how he taught them to love, respect and show compassion for others. Ken was truly a wonderful husband and father.

Ken is survived by his wife, Maria Dilia Gonzales Allred; his children Wes, Kurt (Tracy), Stephanie (Richard) Anderson, Justin (Alesha), and Joe (Aubrey); daughter-in-law Dianna Allred; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his sisters Peggy Strate, Ann Hunger and Ellen Allred; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arvel and Elva Allred; son Mark Allred; daughter-in-law Teri Chaudoin Allred; brother Roger Allred; In-Laws Ernest and Ernestine Gonzales; brothers-in-law Jerry Gonzales, Jimmy Gonzales and Ricky Gonzales.

It was Ken’s wish to forego funeral services. His children are planning a Celebration of Life at a later date, surrounded by his family at their home and at their favorite place in the mountains.

Cheryl's greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren, and she didn't mind filling the role of mom or grandma for all their friends.

Cheryl was a big fan of the Utah JAZZ. She could usually be found reading a book, creating beautiful diamond art, and doing crossword puzzles. Cheryl also loved fresh flowers!
She was sweet, loving, comforting, generous, hard working, and a great listener.

Cheryl loved spending time with family and made sure everyone felt loved and valued. She loved cooking and baking with her grandkids year round, and having sleepovers where a Little Caesars Pizza was always a favorite.

Our sweet angel Mother, passed through the veil peacefully in her home on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Annie Pendley, and her husband, Harold Morris, to whom she was sealed for all time and eternity. She left a legacy of Unfailing Love, Faith, Hard Work, Integrity, and Service to her nine children: Sheri (Mary), Susan (David), April (Stan), Jennifer, Kelly, Jared (Sarah), Cyndi, Samuel (Rachel), and Daniel (Amy), along with 26 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Diane Pendley Morris was born in Murray, Utah and grew up in the Sacramento, California area. She was exceptionally good at art, dance, and music. She also excelled in academics. She attended American River College and then later moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University. She met Harold Morris (Tom) in her home town at a dance. They eloped to Reno, Nevada and this was just the beginning of their many adventures as they moved to Cold Bay, King Salmon, Fairbanks, Arroyo Grande, Bryce Canyon, St. George, Seattle, Colorado Springs, and Rapid City, to name just a few! Diane and Tom moved to Spring City in 1993 and have called this lovely town their home ever since.

Diane often said that her children were her greatest joy and the jewels in her crown. She was a devoted Mother and worked hard to provide many happy experiences for her family. She was creative and resourceful and her children have many memories of her working through the night to sew clothing, design and make costumes, create school crafts, and prom dresses. She sewed hundreds of quilts and blankets for friends and family. She was the original DIY'er: she could design and build, paint and upholster anything. She was never deterred by broken plumbing, appliances, or cars; She always found a way to fix these with her resourcefulness, creativity, determination, and intellect. She helped her kids find a love for art, music, and literature. From very young ages, she taught them to sing in harmony. Her kids sang and performed on stage–complete with home-made costumes and little choreography (and a bribe of a chocolate milkshake). She loved her children more than anything...until her grandkids came along. She had a special way of connecting with each grandchild as she shared their interests in skateboarding, music, card games, jewelry, and made each child feel special and loved as only she could do. Diane also found enjoyment in her professional roles and made a significant contribution during her many years of serving the state of Utah. Diane loved and had an unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She placed an importance on family prayer and the scriptures and made her home a safe haven for all. She cherished Family History and shared her love for the people who came before her by devoting her time and energy in working to preserve their histories in Family Search.

Our family would like to thank our many caring neighbors and friends who provided many hours of love and service to our Mother.

There will be a reception held in Diane's honor on Saturday, August 3 from 5-7pm at the LDS church located at 352 S Spanish Fork Parkway, Spanish Fork, UT 84660"

She met the love of her life, William “Billy” T. Nunley, on New Year’s Day in 1939. As she fondly would recall, “I was eleven when I first met him. We went ice skating. He was so cute, and I just fell in love with him immediately.” Their love story blossomed into a beautiful marriage; they were wed on July 19th, 1946, in Farmington, Utah.

Virginia and Billy were blessed with four children: Terry Nunley, Walter Nunley, John Nunley, and Pamela Nunley Larsen (Lynn Larsen). Virginia often shared that her greatest joy in life was being a mother. Her family grew to include five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved Billy, her sons John and Terry, her siblings, her grandson Ben, and great-grandson Thorson.

In her younger days, Virginia was a talented dancer, teaching tap and ballet. She often reminisced about her youth, saying, “My parents got along wonderfully. I had a really happy childhood.” A lover of music, she shared her passion with her grandchildren, saying, “I was a big fan of most music. I loved sunny songs with ukulele and guitar and fast lyrics.”

Virginia had a zest for life that included playing card games (she belonged to a poker club for over 50 years!) and showcasing her many talents in cooking, sewing, piano, art, and singing. She was also an avid bowler, golfer, and baseball lover.

After raising their children, Virginia and Billy retired in Apache Junction, AZ, where they enjoyed their golden years together. In her final years, Virginia resided at the Good Life Senior Living Center in Mount Pleasant, Utah. A special thank you to all the staff at Good Life for taking such good care of Virg.

Virginia Ella Hart Nunley’s legacy is one of love, joy, and a life well-lived. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In lieu of a service or flowers, the family kindly requests donations to your favorite charity in honor of Virginia’s memory. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com
