Charleston Institute for Advances Orthopedics practices w/ an emphasis in three specialties:
Orthope Siegling Teaching Award from MUSC.

Dr. Schutte is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a Fellowship in Reconstructive Surgery and primary focus on Joint Replacement Surgery. He’s a member of the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons. Dr. Schutte has been on faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina for over 21 years and has received numerous honors, including The John A. He has also been published multiple times on hip and knee joint replacement topics. Dr. Schutte is currently the Medical Director of East Cooper Medical Center’s Comprehensive Joint Program where he and his team see patients daily.
