Week 6 of of the American House challenge was tea-riffic!! Thanks to AARP and Life Enrichment Director, Erika, Atlanta Braves superfan and American House Bristol resident Faye, experienced a Wish of a Lifetime! Not only had this lifelong fan never been to a game, Faye's first Braves game was a historic one—it was the first time a Major League baseball game was played in Tennessee, the state that Faye calls home ⚾

In honor of National Lemonade Day, residents loved the "Lemonade Lounge" theme 🍋 As you can imagine, from raspberry to blackberry and everything in between, there were many unique spins on the fan-favorite! Well, maybe not THAT Turner, but very special nonetheless 🥰 Not only does Mrs Turner have a remarkable memory when it comes to dates and names, she has - wait for it - 78 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren! And, yes, she knows all of their names 😉

The Atomium is a landmark building in Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪 that was the centerpiece of the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair. This month we are celebrating that same World’s Fair and in doing so, our residents put their engineer hats on to make their own Atomium statues.

Our residents aren’t the only ones doing amazing things in our community! When ducklings were stuck in a drain, Wellness Director Sunny, Resident Care Coordinator Rossana, and Dishwasher Mykola were on the case in a catch-and-release mission! The happy family was luckily rescued and freed at our local pond. Not only do these great people have a hand in our resident’s care and wellbeing but also for the creatures that surround American House Mount Prospect. 🦆
