Epic Periodontics & Implant Center has a proud history of serving the residents of Mount Prospect, IL and the surrounding communities with world-class periodontal care. Our team couldn’t be happier to have Dr. Saba Khan at the helm. Dr. Khan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, an achievement that only one-third of all periodontists and dental implants have accomplished. She initially graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and has been placing dental implants since 2005, with a particular expertise in All-on-4 implant dentures. She has also been a longtime faculty member at the University of Chicago – Illinois College of Dentistry, training future dentists on dental implants and gum disease treatment. Because of her 18+ years of experience, Dr. Khan’s patients can rest easy knowing their smiles are being cared for by an expert periodontist in Mount Prospect.

Gingival enlargement or gingival hyperplasia—is an abnormal increase in the size of the gums, making them appear swollen, thick, or enlarged & covering parts of the teeth. This can be caused due to chronic inflammation, certain medications, or due to certain medical conditions.

This can be managed by surgical intervention, by identifying & removing the cause & by regular monitoring.

The results are EPIC! 🦷💚
