1 - Medical Micro-Needling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and Skin Needling, is a recent focus for skin rejuvenation and beauty centers. Micro-Needling is used to break down scar tissue and stimulate skin cells to proliferate. Implement this service after training and your clients will be thanking you after they see major improvements in their skin’s appearance.

2 - Dermaplaning uses sharp surgical blades to remove your clients’ vellus hair from the top epidermal layer of the skin. Dermaplaning increases cellular turnover while simultaneously smoothing and softening the surface of the skin. After training, start offering this treatment and it will be something your clients will love!

- THE 5 MAJOR EMOTIONS -

There are five basic emotions, which resonate with our body energies at a very deep level. In moderation these emotions act as motivational energies that stimulate organs and keep them and us healthy.

Think of your organs as part of an orchestra, and when they are in balance, they create a symphony. When one organ is “out of tune,” it creates a disharmony. Sharing my view on 5 element theory, to your Health!

ANGER

Anger relates to the wood element that includes the organs of the liver and gall bladder, the muscular system and the immune system.
When anger is in a state that is harmful to the body, it can weaken and break down the immune system and we have difficulty fighting off disease particularly viruses.
Anger was used in past times as a motivating force as a means for survival i.e. in battle or as a motivating force when hunting, whereas today it usually expresses itself in work and life stresses. It is rarely an emotion / energy that is used creatively and almost always manifests destructively
Long term suppressed anger can also lead to the formation of gallstones (condensed anger) and migraine headaches. The liver is also associated with our ability to plan and make decisions. As a result if a person is in a state of chronic anger his / her decision making abilities are diminished. We are ‘livered’ and cannot think straight. Generally a loss in quality of life occurs as we are attracted to violent situations as a way of releasing this emotion.

FEAR

Fear is the emotion of the water element and has specific relation to the kidney and bladder organs, the central nervous system, reproductive system, and endocrine system. Fear is a necessary emotion as it provides the ‘fight’ or flight’ response necessary for survival however living in a acute or chronic fear can have serious effects and far reaching ramifications in many areas of the body.
A typical state of chronic fear is a perpetual reaction to the world around us and feelings of being overwhelmed and our inability to cope. This includes concepts such as fear of coping with our relationship, health, our job or our financial situation. These reactions often become imploding and internal creating ‘time bombs’ which build up over time. We produce a mask (keeping up a front) for the world to see while inside the inner fear of handling difficult situations is damaging our nervous system. We literally scare ourselves to death!

WORRY

Worry effects the earth element that relates specifically to the stomach, spleen & pancreas. The effect particularly when reacting with intense worry to the stomach is one of acidity and ulcers. We are unable to digest and process life’s situations. Also the pancreas cannot produce the required amounts of enzymes that enable proper digestion of food. This in turn can lead to sugar handling disorders as regulation of levels is irregular.

GRIEF

Grief relates to the air / metal element that specifically effects the lungs and large intestine. Imploding grief i.e. grief that is not expressed in a healthy manner, will often manifest itself as fluid on the lungs and can lead to chronic or acute lung disorders which impair our breathing. This in turn has a ‘knock on’ effect as it is our ability to breath properly which determines our overall health.

JOY / SADNESS

Joy is the energy of the five elements that effects the heart, circulatory system and small intestine. Joy has a positive effect on the overall Body / Mind but when it is absent it manifest as sadness.
This Sadness is ‘heartache’ or depression, as opposed to grief (that is grieving over something specific). Chronic sadness effects the heart, arteries and veins and can impair the absorption of food and emotions through the small intestine.

GUILT & JEALOUSY

Both of these emotions are combinations of the 5 basic emotions:

Guilt is a combination of anger with fear or worry.
Jealousy is anger and fear and is often fueled by very low self-esteem.

FACTS ABOUT CUCUMBERS
1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.
3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.
4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.
5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

Face
If you wash your face first, then you are highly focused on image and status. You place an incredibly high level of importance on first impressions and struggle to look past them and give a person a second chance. You are often seen as selfish and self-absorbed, forgetting about the wants, needs and desires of the others in your life. You view your friends as pawns in your game, here to be used as required and often disposable. Try not to become too wrapped up in your own world. Reach out to the people in your life from time to time, it will go far.
Ears
If the first things that you wash in the shower are your ears than you are an incredible listener. You possess an open mind, always seeking new ideas and knowledge. Your love of knowledge and information can sometimes lead you to feel superior. Try not to become so wrapped up in your own feelings of self-worth that you forget about the people who helped you to accomplish your goals in life.
Hair
If you start you shower off with washing your hair, then you are incredibly creative and artistic. You are a dreamer among dreamers, setting your sights on some of the biggest goals and dreams that most people could ever imagine. However, you are also blessed with a tenacity and dedication that will allow you to put the time and effort into achieving everything that you set your heart on. You are picky about who you will spend your time with, surrounding yourself only with artists and intellects.
Chest
Those who wash their chest first are highly logical and practical in life. You know what you want in life, and there is nothing that is going to sidetrack you in your journey to accomplish your goals and dreams. You demand to be respected and heard, and you become highly irritable if someone interrupts you. You are rather blunt which some may view as rude or attacking. Be careful that you don’t come across too harsh or uncaring.
Shoulders
Those who wash their shoulders first are the natural underdogs. You feel as though you are wearing the weight of the world on your shoulders, which may not be entirely untrue. You may be facing something significantly challenging in life such as a drinking problem, an addiction to gambling, a recent job loss or large financial struggles. While you may find it difficult not to become obsessed with your struggles, try to remember all the good things in your life.
Armpits
You are incredibly down to earth and hard-working. You have an idea of the type of life you would like to live, and you aren’t afraid of the work that is required to earn it. While you are quite popular and well liked you often prioritize your work and career over your relationships, which creates a distance between you and the people around you. Try not to cross the line into ‘workaholic’ and carve out time in your schedule for ‘down time’ with your friends.
Ge****ls
Those who wash their ge****ls first are often quiet, shy and introverted. You grew up with a strict set of rules at home and you have carried these rules into your adult life. This resulted in a solid set of morals and values that you aren’t willing to compromise for anyone. You keep a tight, close-knit group of friends, valuing quality over quantity. If someone is able to earn their way into your inner circle, then you would do anything to protect them.
Everything Else
If you focus on any other part of your body first when you hop in the shower than you are an average joe, and proud to be! You don’t feel the need to stand out in a crowd, content to take that role backstage and allow someone else to hog the spotlight. You may find that others underestimate you, but you don’t allow it to tear you down. Instead, you take it as a challenge, always succeeding in the end.
