Supporting Recovery. Advancing Education. Encouraging Responsible Research.

Eating disorder recovery is complex, courageous work.
It deserves compassion, evidence-based care, and thoughtful exploration of emerging science.

• Supporting responsible scientific inquiry
• Advocating for harm reduction and informed decision-making
• Encouraging ethical, safety-focused dialogue

Harm reduction meets people where they are—because that’s how public health works.

Education and safety save lives, regardless of the issue.

Overdose prevention is harm reduction—just like seatbelts and infection control.

At its heart, harm reduction is about compassion and empathy, not judgment. It recognizes that people are human, that risk exists in many areas of life, and that education and safety save lives.

We don’t ask whether someone “deserves” a seatbelt or sterile medical care. We focus on protecting health and reducing preventable harm.

Compassion isn’t endorsement.
It’s evidence-based public health.

Harm reduction is about people.

At its core, harm reduction is grounded in compassion, evidence, and public health; not judgment. It’s a framework used across medicine to reduce preventable harm and support better outcomes, especially for people who are struggling.

Compassion does not mean endorsement.
It means recognizing humanity, prioritizing safety, and meeting people where they are.

Why do you think compassion is sometimes mistaken for approval or encouragement?

What do we mean by harm reduction?

Harm reduction is a public health approach used across medicine and mental health to reduce risk, increase safety, and save lives.

It does not encourage risky behavior.
It acknowledges reality and prioritizes education, safety, and better health outcomes. It’s the same principles used throughout healthcare every day.

Where have you seen harm reduction used in everyday medicine or public health?

Myth vs. Fact

Psychedelics are often misunderstood as being “just about getting high.”

In reality, modern research is exploring structured, therapeutic, and harm-reduction-informed approaches focused on mental health outcomes and safety.

Education matters. Open dialogue matters.

What questions do you still have about psychedelic research?
