Saint Joseph Hospital has been once again named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades, the number one site Americans use when searching for a doctor or hospital, for the fourth year in a row. This achievement reflects Saint Joseph Hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and top-tier patient care, placing the organization in the top 2% of U.S. hospitals for overall clinical performance.

In addition to this distinction for overall clinical care, Saint Joseph Hospital has been recognized for its exceptional patient outcomes in key service areas, including critical care. These accolades further underscore Saint Joseph Hospital’s dedication to delivering the highest quality care to every patient, year after year.

“This recognition from Healthgrades is a testament to the dedication of our caregivers to provide exceptional care to the communities we serve,” said Terry Wooten, MHA, president, Saint Joseph Hospital. “As the new president at Saint Joseph Hospital, I’m excited to be part of the team that has been recognized as a leading example of high quality care for the fourth straight year. I look forward to all that the future brings.”

Take care of your heart during this winter weather. Cold weather strains your body, increasing your heart rate and blood pressure. Strenuous activities like shoveling snow can put you at higher risk for cardiovascular events, like heart attacks. If you must shovel snow, don’t overdo it. Be sure to dress in layers, take breaks and protect your head, ears, hands and feet.

Stay safe and healthy during these snow days. If you experience heart attack symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness, or radiating pain in your arm, shoulder, back, jaw or abdomen, stop and call 911 immediately.
