I had the pleasure of being an ambassador & I have attended a council meeting.

I would like to urge every member to go to a council meeting.
Go to see if the person you voted for to speak for you is doing #1 a good job, #2 does their agenda line up with yours #3 is it what they are telling you when you ask #4 is it helping the tribe or hindering #5 do you see this person working as a team player or someone wanting to cause division.
After the meeting really think on it.
Now, When you voted (rather it was for family or the best person, you thought at the time, for the job) was it the best choice. If so awesome. If not, it’s time to do better. If their term isn’t up at this election then in 2 years.
It’s time for a council and a Chief willing to work together as one along with the housing authority as one to be the WARRIORS and people we were meant to be!
It’s time to stop fighting against each other & fight together. Stop bickering over little things & starting tackling big things! Together we will make a difference but Divided We Will Surely Fall.

HAPPY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY! Colombus who??? Im so proud to be a MOWA CHOCTAW INDIAN. Indigenous peoples as a whole have came so far since the attempt to take us out. We are still as strong as ever and we will continue to get stronger. Our people are resilient that has been proven and will never change.

Today was a sight to see. Our community truly pulled together from the elderly to the young. It was a pleasure and I hope we do it again! I am so proud to be a MOWA CHOCTAW today and EVERYDAY!

Be sure you’re staying hydrated in this Alabama heat!! Not only does drinking the appropriate amount of water keep you hydrated but it also has other benefits as shown in below, just to name a few.

Now that schools back in session the day today will be even more busy for most people. Which means keeping up with your child in general will be harder. Somethings may go unnoticed like their changes in mental health or how their doing emotionally. Take time to talk about their day and really see how they are doing or adjusting to the changes in their lives/schedules. Particularly kids that are new to school or even kids with new siblings, baby sitters or parents with a new job. Pay close attention to your child’s queues and if they’ve changed. Children typically clue you in either knowingly or unknowingly Have a good school year everybody. Prayers for a safe one and healthy & extremely smart kiddos❤️❤️

Yaupon Holly is the only naturally caffinated plant. It is a HEALTHY & NATURAL alternative to coffee/tea/soda. The benefits and details are as follows: It was once used in addition to some other ingredients by our people to make “black drink” which was used before some rituals. Now the leaf of the yaupon holly tree is used by itself to make yaupon tea. It comes in many flavors/brands but I myself have only tried this brand/flavor below. I know when i was working from home for almost 2 years due to the pandemic it took a huge toll on my mental health. So, please reflect on your day and youself daily/weekly and see what’s changed and proactively work on it. I didn’t and before I knew it I was a totally different person. It’s vital to take a step back and look within even though it may be scary to do so at first where you end up can be far more frightening.
