Are you using or thinking of using semiglutide (GLP-1) injections?
These medications can be an incredible tool when used wisely. But there’s a healthy and unhealthy way to use them, and my goal is to make sure you don’t end up “skinny fat” with a compromised metabolism and poor metabolic health.
If you’re relying solely on the medication to suppress your appetite, slow digestion, and eat less to lose weight, you may be putting yourself at risk for the same health issues associated with obesity. This isn’t meant to scare you—it’s about being real.
I understand how much you want to lose the weight. I get that the medication is helping quiet the constant noise around food and making it easier to shed pounds. It’s exciting to feel the weight come off and have more energy.
But without proper support, you’re harming your metabolic health. If your doctor’s only strategy is increasing the dose until it “works,” I’m genuinely concerned for you. There’s a looming issue here that by 2030, it’s estimated that 50 million people in the U.S. will be using these medications. Unfortunately, many will still face the same diseases they were trying to avoid due to metabolic damage.
The reality is, 70% of people regain the weight within a year of stopping the medication. And even while on it, everyone hits a plateau. Worse, the weight loss is often disproportionately muscle—your metabolic health’s biggest ally.
The weight WILL COME OFF but notice what’s happening to your arms, back, and overall muscle tone. This isn’t just about being thin; it’s about being healthy at the end of this journey.
If you’re serious about your health—if that’s why you started this medication in the first place—let’s talk. No sales pitch, no pressure. Just a free conversation to help you avoid the pitfalls and achieve your goals the right way. Skinny and sick is not the goal. Healthy and strong is.💪
