It's been a while since we posted. We wanted to share a Mental Health Matters resource. The MHA (Mental Health Association) has some screening tools on their website. So if you ever wonder, "Am I experiencing anxiety?... Post partum?... Depression?" MHA has some screening tools that may help in our process. Please keep in mind, each of us is on a unique journey, so these screenings are just a generic tool to get you thinking and talking. If you are looking to connect with a therapist, Counseling Works LCSW, PLLC has limited availability. Other resources are therapyforblackgirls.com, cliniciansofcolor.org, psychology today.com are some helpful resources.

Online screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.

It can be a challenge for children to understand what is going on these days. It's tough for adults too! And due to the health care disparities, high density living, racial injustices and inequities for urban Black & Latino, it is even of greater heartaches during this cornavirus pandemic. This children's book was created by Samantha Harris and Devon Scott, two medical students from Southern California, to help children (and adults too) to understand what's going on.
