It’s easy to forget to take time for yourself, even for someone whose job is literally helping others with their self-care. This week, I finally remembered. I slowed down, I recharged, and it made all the difference. 💛

✨️ I got a long-overdue 90 minute massage.
✨️ I turned my phone off for an entire day.
✨️ I wandered through the forest with my husband and daughter, breathing deeply and soaking up the quiet.
✨️ I took a long, hot bath without rushing.

This was my reset, and I feel so much better for it.

Do something for you this week, whether that’s a massage, a walk in nature, turning your phone off, or just taking a moment to breathe. You deserve a reset, too. 💛

Remind yourself today to relax your shoulders! ✨️

Here's a good visual to show how tension and adhesions in one area can affect other parts of the body.

The "X" in the image is a trigger point, or a knot. The blue highlighted areas are where you might feel referral pain. Tension in the neck and shoulders can cause pain and tension up in the jaw and head!

Doing some focus work in the neck and shoulders can help relieve so much tension that we get from doing daily activities like sitting at a desk, driving, and scrolling through our phones.

I’m Lexi Thornton, LMT, and I’ve been practicing massage for almost 9 years. I moved to Roseburg in 2019 and instantly fell in love with this beautiful area!

I’ve worked in spas, chiropractic and physical therapy offices, and now run my own practice, blending focused, therapeutic massage with a relaxing, spa-like feel.
