Starting as an acute-care facility in 1956, Rockcastle Regional Hospital has adapted as healthcare needs have changed. In 1980, Rockcastle Regional opened its first long-term care unit with 32 beds and added 28 more beds just 12 years later. Today our Respiratory Care Center facility offers comfortable, professional, long-term care for 93 ventilator-dependent patients, mostly from Kentucky. We care for up to 26 patients in our acute-care facility, including a special care unit for those needing more intensive attention. And, hundreds of patients benefit from our convenient outpatient surgery and services. Our emergency room physicians and staff are available 24 hours a day, ready to address any type of medical crisis. Rockcastle Regional is a not-for-profit healthcare provider that accepts patients from all walks of life- regardless of age, s*x, race, ethnicity, disability, s*xual orientation, type of insurance or ability to pay for services. Our staff cares for patients based on what will best meet their needs, not what is best for the bottom line. You probably know most of our staff members. Not by their lab coats or nametags, but because they are your friends and neighbors.

The Rockcastle County Kiwanis Club held a special meeting today at Rockcastle Regional Hospital, where we were honored to welcome Steve Estes, President & CEO, as our guest speaker. Mr. Estes shared valuable updates on the hospital, including upcoming initiatives and the continued impact on patient care services throughout our community.

During the meeting, Kiwanis was generously presented with a donation of $1,316, representing the number of โ€œWOW Momentsโ€ the hospital received last year. A WOW Moment highlights an individual who has gone above and beyond in their role to make a difference.

We are incredibly grateful for this meaningful contribution and extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Estes and Rockcastle Regional Hospital for their continued support. Partnerships like this allow us to further our mission and make a lasting impact in the lives of children in Rockcastle County!

Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center has been providing quality healthcare to Rockcastle and surrounding counties for more than 50 years. Starting as an acute-care facility in 1956, the hospital has adapted as healthcare needs have changed.

In 1980, Rockcastle Regional opened its first long-term care unit with 32 beds and added 28 more beds just 12 years later. In 2009, Rockcastle Regional again saw a growth of 14 beds. In Summer 2017, another 28 beds were added to our Respiratory Care Center. As the nationโ€™s largest free-standing ventilator facility, we offer comfortable, professional, long-term care for a total of 127 ventilator-dependent patients, mostly from Kentucky.

We care for up to 26 patients in our acute-care facility, including a special care unit for those needing more intensive attention. And, hundreds of patients benefit from our convenient outpatient surgery and services.

Our emergency room physicians and staff are available 24 hours a day, ready to address any type of medical crisis.
