We are excited to bring back the Neurology Department and welcome Neurologist, Trevor Moravec, MD. Dr. Moravec attended the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in Reno, NV. He then did his residency at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Barbara is the definition of the Sunflower Award. During the first experience with her caring for my loved one, she was not even assigned to them. She was being an amazing team player who helped another PCA. She was called in and assigned to my loved one on the second day. She gave her amazing professional care while ensuring my loved one felt like they were the only one in her care. The third day was just as exceptional. Every time she came into the room, she was positive and compassionate. She made our loved one feel very comfortable and cared for. Her personality, attitude, and skills showed that she truly cares for their well-being. When a family member feels comfortable, leaving their loved one alone is a true sign of an excellent PCA.

Som Bailey, DO, Interventional and Structural Cardiologist

Dr. Som Bailey is a fellowship-trained interventional and structural cardiologist with expertise in advanced catheter-based therapies for coronary and valvular heart disease. He specializes in complex coronary interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral valve therapies, valve-in-valve procedures, and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation. Dr. Bailey earned his medical degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and General Cardiology fellowship at Medical City Fort Worth, followed by dedicated subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart Disease at the University of Miami.

Her nominee shares that she is "Always working ways to get a new patient in to be seen; this includes same day and the next day. She always jumps through hoops to get the patients what they need, such as dressing orders completed, authorizations, or bringing them in to do extra education. Just recently, she was part of a team that saved a patient's life. In an office setting, this is not her everyday scope, and she hasn't done anything such as this in a decade. For her staff, she is always willing to jump in when someone is out on PTO or leave, even if the staff needs extra help. You would never hear any complaint from this nurse's mouth. She is always so positive and eager. She doesn't get nearly enough credit, and nominating her for this is the very least I could do."
