Grief tends to ebb and flow. During the holidays, it’s normal to experience new, deep, and sometimes complicated emotions.

It’s okay to reconsider what elements of the holidays you enjoy and those you don’t. Let your usual holiday routine act as a framework and do what feels right for you. You can make changes to how you celebrate this time of the year, even if it is different than how you’ve done it in the past.
We want you to know that you’re not alone. If you are struggling with grief and loss this holiday season, we are here to support you.

Call our Bereavement team today at 360-814-5570 or visit our blog for more holiday grief tips: www.HospiceNW.org/Coping-with-Grief-During-the-Holidays.

Spiritual counseling is a central, yet often overlooked, aspect of hospice care. Hospice of the Northwest offers a dedicated spiritual counselor to provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones as they explore some of life’s biggest questions.

By enrolling early, patients and their circles of support have more opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions about their beliefs and values. These conversations help ease stress and anxiety and provide a pathway for finding peace and acceptance.

Choosing hospice early creates space for a more comforting end-of-life experience, offering solace and a renewed sense of hope and healing.
