And we keep our self-pay rates competitive. Our office will help assist you choose insurance, find a specialist, get medical coverage through your plan, and apply for Medicaid or Social Security benefits. We also participate in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program of the New York State Department of Health. We believe no one should have to wait for hours in an ER for a non-emergency. And no one should face barriers in receiving preventive care. Dr. Naqvi is a Board certfied Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics with over 30 years in practice. Prior to her work at Mount Vernon Pediatrics, Dr. Naqvi was Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at SUNY Downstate and Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her background is in Academic Pediatrics and she promises her patients dedicated, full-time coverage.
