What do you do BEFORE you get sick to stay healthy?

That’s what Preventive Care is about! You can manage things like your eating habits, daily exercise, and preventive check ups.

At annual wellness visits, your doctor or other health care provider will ask you to fill out a questionnaire called a “Health Risk Assessment”. Answering these questions help you and your doctor develop a personalized prevention plan to help you stay healthy and get the most out of your visit. Your visit may include:

▪ Routine measurements (like height, weight, and blood pressure).
▪ A review of your medical and family history.
▪ A review of your current prescriptions.
▪ Personalized health advice.
▪ Advance care planning.

Stay prepared and call 740-399-8008 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations!

It's National Eye Care Month! 👁

Early treatment is critically important to prevent some common eye diseases from causing permanent vision loss or blindness:
▪ Cataracts (clouding of the lens), the leading cause of vision loss in the United States
▪ Diabetic retinopathy (causes damage to blood vessels in the back of the eye), the leading cause of blindness in American adults
▪ Glaucoma (a group of diseases that damages the optic nerve)
▪ Age-related macular degeneration (gradual breakdown of light-sensitive tissue in the eye)
Of the estimated 93 million US adults at high risk for vision loss, only half visited an eye doctor in the past 12 months. Regular eye care can have a life-changing impact on preserving the vision of millions of people.

Starting your week with a positive and mindful approach can make a huge difference in your overall well-being. Here are some simple ways to prioritize your mental health:

✨ Start with a Positive Mindset - The way you begin your day sets the tone for the rest of it. Instead of focusing on the stresses ahead, take a moment to practice gratitude.

💡 Take Time for Yourself - Don’t forget to carve out moments for self-care throughout the day. Mental health thrives when we allow ourselves space to recharge.

📱 Limit Social Media - social media can sometimes contribute to feelings of anxiety or self-doubt.

🌈 Reach Out for Support - You don’t have to carry everything on your own.

This Mental Health Monday, remember: Your mental health is just as important as any task or goal you have. By setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and taking small steps toward balance, you’re giving yourself the best chance for a fulfilling week ahead.
