The data continues to show that we’re safest from COVID-19 when we #TakeItOutside.

With the guidance released by the CDC today, now we know that fully vaccinated individuals can gather or dine safely outdoors in small groups without masking.

While fully vaccinated Washingtonians can safely gather outdoors without masks, it’s still important for everyone to #MaskUp in crowded outdoor settings or indoors – whether or not you’re fully vaccinated.

If you or a loved one haven’t yet been vaccinated, make an appointment today at www.VaccineLocator.doh.wa.gov.

Remember: In general, the best vaccine is the one you are able to get. All of the vaccines that have been authorized are shown to be safe and effective in multiple rounds of clinical trials, and the CDC encourages people to get the first vaccine available to them. While people may have a preference on which vaccine they would like to get, it is best not to wait if another vaccine brand is available sooner, unless they have talked to their doctor and there is a medical reason to avoid a certain brand of vaccine.

📱Received a text from Skagit Regional Health? We need your help!📱 With new vaccine locations opening daily, we are excited to hear that many people on our COVID-19 vaccine waitlist have already received their vaccine. This is wonderful news; not only for our communities but for the people that still reside on our waitlist! However – that means we have a significant number of people on our COVID-19 vaccine waitlist who are no longer waiting. In order to focus our limited scheduling resources on individuals still needing a COVID-19 vaccine, we urgently request people confirm they wish to remain on the waitlist or remove themselves from the waitlist through the following channels: https://bit.ly/38dZMPY

Interim Clinical Considerations for Use of mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines | CDC

The CDC has made these recommendations regarding timing of second doses. Please click the link for more information.
The second dose should be administered as close to the recommended interval as possible. However, if it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval and a delay in vaccination is unavoidable, the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose. https://bit.ly/304BvqK
