Several weeks I had posted an update about some changes regarding network participation for certain insurance plans for 2026. Here is a further update on 2 main areas of concern:

1. 2. Regarding Blue Cross of Illinois, we will be in network with most area plans. We will be happy to continue to serve you and your families!

2. The Medicine Shoppe will be IN NETWORK for Wellcare part D plans for 2026. I had previously stated the opposite based on information I had at the time. But that is not the case and I apologize for the confusion. We will be happy to continue be able to serve you if you have Wellcare for 2026.
a. Due to the nature of the Wellcare contract there may be certain brand name medications that will have to be evaluated on a case by case basis for whether or not we will be able to provide them. The reason for this is the decision of Wellcare and their processor Express Scripts to reimburse certain specific drugs at significantly less than it costs us to purchase them. We will not leave any of our patients without a solution though! One way or the other we will find a way to get you what you need.
