As we prepare to bid farewell to March, we want to give one last shoutout to our March Hottie of the Month- Taylor Leaman
Taylor is a recent addition to our community, starting this past fall. He quickly fell into a routine, and we regularly see him in class. Taylor was nominated for his quick dedication to his practice and the calm energy he brings to each class.
Taylor shared with us, "I started yoga for a few reasons--being at the beginning of middle-age and my work in construction being pretty tough on my body, I was looking for some of the more obvious physical, mobility benefits as well as some stress/anxiety benefits as well and it has turned out to be so much more than I had hoped. In a very short amount of time, it has definitely changed my life, opened my perspective, and has become something I am confident I will continue to practice the rest of my life. You absolutely get out of it whatever you put in and very quickly, too. The classes I take are the best part of my week. HYE is an amazing resource in town that I feel so lucky to have, and I feel our town is lucky to have.
For anyone thinking about trying HYE or even yoga for the first time (as I was, not long ago), it was something I was very nervous and intimidated by, being worried about what I would even be capable of, plus the vulnerability of being in a group setting, and I learned very quickly that I didn't need to be nervous at all. The ethos of the studio is very much about each individual practicing based on wherever they are in that moment, and that is reiterated by the teachers and the overall atmosphere of every class. Each class and each teacher has their own style and benefits, and they've all been great. It's a very encouraging space with no judgment. And no matter how intense a class is, I always leave feeling calm and all around just better.”
CONGRATULATIONS Taylor!
