Spero Family Services is a multi-faceted human services organization that serves local children, youth and families in need, currently in 5 counties, and we are growing! Vernon for kids ages 12-21, a Counseling & Wellness Center, Bright Start Childcare in Mt. Vernon, Parents as teachers, Mental Health Juvenile Justice (MHJJ), a Foster Care program, and more! Although Spero Family Services is a faith-based agency, programs are open and available to anyone fitting the service criteria without discrimination and regardless of faith or denominational background.

As we reflect on 2025, we’re grateful for a year full of meaningful moments.

💙 From reopening our Murphysboro Campus and celebrating 20 years of YouthBuild, to hosting a successful 10th Annual Family Fun Fest and 30th Annual Golf Classic, welcoming DCFS Director Heidi Mueller, earning CARE certification, and being gifted Wesley Church and a van — this year was one to remember. We also celebrated youth milestones, including college scholarships and continued growth.

We are deeply grateful to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, clients, partners, and staff who made these milestones possible and continue to move our mission forward. ✨
