Spero Family Services is a multi-faceted human services organization that serves local children, youth and families in need, currently in 5 counties, and we are growing! Vernon for kids ages 12-21, a Counseling & Wellness Center, Bright Start Childcare in Mt. Vernon, Parents as teachers, Mental Health Juvenile Justice (MHJJ), a Foster Care program, and more! Although Spero Family Services is a faith-based agency, programs are open and available to anyone fitting the service criteria without discrimination and regardless of faith or denominational background.

We’re proud to share that Val, Spero’s Performance and Quality Improvement Director, was a presenter at the Methodist Ministries Conference in Indianapolis! She presented alongside fellow CQI leaders, sharing how faith-based human service organizations can align continuous quality improvement efforts across multiple service lines while navigating challenges like limited resources, staffing pressures, and regulatory demands. Together, they highlighted practical strategies, tools, and real-world examples to support ongoing learning and improvement across services.

Vernon, Youthbuild of Jefferson & Marion Counties, Best Beginnings program to help first-time mothers, a Foster Care program for teens, and more!
