On June 21, 2022, Bluewater Dx is proud to announce we will be an exhibitor at the 4th Annual Kentucky Recovery in the Workplace Conference.

The conference will address substance abuse and recovery in the workplace, its impact on the workforce, and how the business community should respond.

The conference will be hosted at the Griffin Gate Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Lexington, KY.

Bluewater Dx has opened a new satellite location offering a full service laboratory experience. Providers can send their patients for flu, strep, HcG testing, blood, covid testing & vaccines.
From I65, take Exit 117 onto KY-44 toward Mount Washington. We’re 0.2 Miles on the right, across from Family Allergy & Asthma. Also, if you are unable to come to us, we can come to you!

Tox ID ensures the patient matches the urine sample using DNA without sacrificing patient dignity. Tox ID is great for all treatment centers and providers performing medication monitoring.

A cheek swab is used to collect DNA from the patient and is stored at our laboratory. DNA ensures the authenticity of the urine sample.

Benefits include:
1. Eliminates the need for observed collections
2. Eliminates the patient from using others’ urine
3. Reduces the challenge to test results
4. Improves patient outcomes

It's , an annual celebration of medical lab professionals who play a crucial role in patient care and advocacy!

🧬 What makes a good lab? There are tests for that, and Labweek is the perfect time to praise our own at Bluewater Dx on their ACCURACY and PRECISION!

Proficiency Testing, or “PT”, is the testing of unknown samples sent to a laboratory by a third-party agency. The lab analyzes the samples just as we would any patient sample. We return our results to the proficiency testing agency for grading before a defined deadline.

Bluewater Diagnostic Laboratory received a grade of >99% overall for all proficiency testing for the year 2021! The national average was approximately 96% so this shows Bluewater Dx is committed to performing testing as accurate as possible. they are a good source for revealing the accuracy and precision of the testing environment.

Please allow us to introduce you to David Wheeler, the Lab Manager at Bluewater!
"I was introduced to the medical lab while in the army. I deployed to Iraq twice and decided I wanted a job with some air conditioning. I have a 13 year old son and a 4 year old pitbull that are my whole world. I love hanging my hammock in the middle of nowhere and making magic in the kitchen."
David has been working in medical laboratories since 2010, and loves the role we play in improving patient outcomes. David has been Lab Manager for Bluewater since July of 2021, and is highly respected at Bluewater and in the community. We are fortunate to work alongside David, and want to say thank you for all you do for Bluewater and thank you for your service!

Bluewater DX Laboratory has been a high level complexity lab located in Mt. Washington Kentucky for 7 years. Our mission is to provide high-level solutions to physicians, medical staff and their patients with exceptional customer service, clinical and technical support and the commitment to positive patient outcomes.

Bluewater Laboratory has been recognized by the state of Kentucky for expanding the state’s COVID-19 testing capacity to include employers, hospitals, nursing homes, government agencies and individuals in need of a test. Bluewater has the capacity to test up to 1,500 samples per day with results available within 24-48 business hours of receipt. There are three ways which specimens are collected: On-site Employer Testing, Mobile (Drive-Thru) testing sites or by partnering with Bluewater as a healthcare provider.
