As Henry Ford so aptly put it, If everyone is moving forward, then success takes care of itself. Mountain City Dental staff kicked off February by attending a CE meeting in Atlanta (Marietta), where we learned about progress, patient care, and overcoming fears.

💙 Today is Seeing Eye Dog Day which is such a powerful way to honor how much dogs do alongside humans.

You’re absolutely right—The Seeing Eye, founded in 1929 by Dorothy Harrison Eustis and Morris Frank, really changed the world. The inspiration from guide dogs working with World War II veterans sparked something that’s grown far beyond what anyone could’ve imagined back then.

Today, service dogs are true partners in independence and safety:

Guide dogs supporting people who are blind or visually impaired

Mobility assistance dogs opening doors, retrieving items, and helping with balance

Medical alert dogs detecting blood sugar changes, seizures, and other health events

Psychiatric and emotional support animals easing anxiety, PTSD, and panic

And yes—those hardworking airport and detection dogs who quietly keep all of us safer ✈️🐕

What always gets me is how these dogs aren’t just trained tools—they form deep bonds with their people. It’s teamwork built on trust, intelligence, and a whole lot of heart.
