Congratulations to EZ Niles, Fulton County Hospital Administrator! He was presented a Heroes with Halos Award by Ron Peterson, President & CEO; Debbie Henry, VP/Chief Financial Officer; Anthony Reed, VP/Ancillary Services; Erika Sneed, Fulton County Hospital Chief Nursing Officer; and Staff of Fulton County Hospital.

A donor wrote:
"We just wanted to tell you what a special addition you have made to your Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital team. Administrator EZ Niles has brought the friendly hometown hospital feeling back to the hospital after many years lacking it. The employees are very obviously happier doing their jobs and it shows. The community is more comfortable and less wary of using the hospital because it feels like someone cares now.

From helping to schedule a very deserving Veteran (Ex-cop, with severe PTSD) for some much-needed healthcare to get his VA benefits started, to getting a CT scan scheduled for a young scared ranch hand, or getting the hospital cleaned up so it seems safer, this man brings new energy to the hospital in more ways that can be listed. Thank you for hiring quality people for Fulton County!"

"When we first learned that my husband, Mike, needed a colon resection surgery, our hearts sank. It felt like our world stopped. We were scared and full of questions.

From the very first appointment with Dr. Mitsakos, he immediately put us at ease. He came into the room already knowing all about Mikeโ€™s case. He knew every scan and every detail. It was clear that he had truly taken the time to understand what was going on before meeting with us. That alone meant so much. From that moment on, we knew Mike was in good hands. Dr. Mitsakos didnโ€™t just talk to us โ€“ he listened. He explained everything clearly and patiently. He answered every question while calming our fears. His compassion and confidence gave us comfort when we needed it the most.

During recovery, Dr. Mitsakos continued to check in and made sure Mike was healing and that we both felt supported. His dedication and kindness went far beyond what we ever expected. Mountain Home and Baxter Health are truly blessed to have such a caring and talented surgeon. Thank you Dr. Mitsakos for being our HERO during such a difficult time in our lives."

"I would like to recognize Dr. George Lawrence because I truly believe he saved my husband Mikeโ€™s life. During a routine appointment, he mentioned Mike needed a colonoscopy. Mike brushed it off, but Dr. Lawrence cared enough to take action and reached out to another office to help get it scheduled. That call let to finding cancer early and saving his life. Thank you, Dr. Lawrence, for guiding us toward the colonoscopy โ€“ you are our HERO."

"Laundry had numerous issues with their large folding machine. Devon and Nathan arrived within 30 minutes to repair the machine and get it up and running. While fixing the machine, they also found other problems - they took care of those as well!
Devon and Nathan have done a fantastic job fixing our equipment, getting everything back up and running in a timely manner. When even one of the machines is down, it slows us down significantly and if it is not fixed as soon as possible, it could bring us to a stop. Our laundry department is very grateful to Devon and Nathan. On behalf of our entire department, we thank you both!!"
