Hello all and Happy Tuesday! I have been thinking lately about the pressure most of us (especially women) feel to be everything to everyone.

And, then there is the added pressure of trying to find time to take care of yourself - you know…. after your children, husband, job, animals, parents, house, school, hobbies and everyone and everything else!

But here is one thing I can promise you. If you take the time to stretch daily, you will feel better. And you will also get 3 to 15 minutes for yourself. Yes, it’s another thing you have to schedule and yes, you might feel overwhelmed at first. But, try it, what do you have to lose? Nothing!

You have so much to gain. Freedom from your neck hurting when you wake up in the morning, freedom from your backside hurting after sitting on the bleachers for a sporting event, freedom from your shoulders and neck hurting after a tough day at the office, freedom from back pain when you carry your children around on your hip. And, freedom because you know you’re doing everything you can to stay mobile for you and your family.

Call it Egoscue, call it posture alignment, call it stretching, call it whatever you want….Just try it! You won’t be sorry.

Happy Summer all! Well, unofficially anyway. I have been super busy renewing all my certifications, both in Posture Alignment and in my Personal Training world.

I am happy to say that I am now officially certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist, through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). I am now even more equipped and able to assist you and your children when it comes to sports performance.

One thing that stood out for me, was the fact that stretching is an integral part in an athlete’s recovery and pre-season preparation. In fact, NASM states that post-season stretching linked to posture realignment is step #1 in the recovery process.

So, as we are working, playing sports, driving, typing, etc. let’s take the time to perform the proper stretches in the correct order so we can realign our posture and keep ourselves stronger than ever!

Text, message or email me with questions and please enjoy this and every day! ☀️

Hello! My middle child had to move back home for a bit. And, he brought his bunny with him (Alfred). Because we have two dogs, I made a playpen in our basement for her (yes, Alfred is a girl).
The basement is where I go to do my stretches every morning. And, since I am usually crunched for time, I can’t let Alfred out of her area to run free. I have been feeling kind of guilty about that, so I hadn’t been doing much stretching for the last 2.5 weeks. Well, let me tell you, I have also not been feeling so great. My back, my knee and neck have all been sore.
So, yesterday I had a heart to heart with Alfred (and she’s okay with just snacks and pets in the morning!) and I have been doing my stretches for the last 2 mornings. And, no lie, I really do feel better already. Not 100% yet, but so so much better.
It’s time to put your excuses aside, like I did, and make time for yourself. My menu is 17 minutes. That’s it.

Don’t you want to Feel Better!?

Attention Baseball and Basketball Players!!

Are you or do you know a baseball player with arm pain?

Are you or do you know a basketball player with knee pain?

Shoulders/arms and knee pain are the most common complaints, when it comes to our athletes. By using some simple stretching and strengthening exercises, we can work to alleviate that pain.

Use this time to get your arm and shoulder ready for the upcoming baseball season!

When basketball season ends, use the post season to realign your body and minimize any recurring pain!

Attention all athletes! The #1 way to lessen your chance of an injury is for your body to be in symmetrical alignment.

75% (per data supplied by NASM) of all ACL tears are non contact injuries. Why? Because muscles surrounding the knee are either too tight or too elastic.

By performing posture alignment therapy, we can help fix any tight or elastic muscles, to reduce injuries.

Are you ready to step up your game!!??
