Acknowledge Alliance leads 8th Grade Circles at Redwood Middle School to help students strengthen the Project Resilience skills they’ve built in earlier years. These Circles offer students a safe space to reflect, connect with peers, and talk about friendships and school pressures.

Most students shared that the experience helped them better cope with the challenges of middle school and appreciate the power of peer support.

✨ Join Us April 29 for a Powerful Conversation on Youth Belonging and Resilience ✨

Young people are experiencing unprecedented levels of adversity - from housing instability, uncertainty around immigration status and economic security to struggling with identity, isolation, and the lasting impacts of unresolved trauma. Despite these realities, we continue to see how resilience can be cultivated when youth are surrounded by compassion, opportunity, and trust.

At our annual Forget-Me-Not event on April 29, join us for a meaningful panel discussion: “Building Communities of Belonging and Access Where Youth Thrive.”

Our panelists will share:
💛 Real-world insights from the field
💛 The power of positive adult relationships in young people’s lives
💛 Proven strategies that foster belonging and expand access to critical supports
💛 Ways each of us can help create safe spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and valued

Together, we’ll explore how communities can come together to ensure every young person has the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

👉Register early March 17 - 31 to get discounted tickets for only $50 (that’s $10 off)!

March 8 is International Women’s Day, a global day of celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It’s also a day of collective activism for advancing gender equality. This year’s theme is Give to Gain: We can all give our support to gain advancement for women and girls. As individuals, giving support means calling out stereotypes, challenging discrimination, questioning bias, celebrating women's success, and more.

Acknowledge Alliance is proud to be a women-led organization, with over 91% of our staff and over 75% of our Board identifying as female. Today and every day, we celebrate our collective strength and resilience as we commit to keep fighting for inclusion and equality for all.

February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (TDVAM), when young people across the country focus on advocacy and education to stop dating abuse before it starts. This year’s theme “Real Love Respects” centers around one truth: respect is non-negotiable. Respect is everything, it’s earned, it’s honest, and it never makes you question your worth.

Did you know 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse from a dating partner before they are an adult? Survivors of teen dating violence are more likely to suffer from symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma. Acknowledge Alliance recognizes that teen dating violence affects everyone, and we stand with teens, parents, teachers, friends and our entire community to promote healthy and respectful relationships.

Today marks the beginning of Lunar New Year, a meaningful, multi-day celebration observed across many East and Southeast Asian cultures. Guided by the lunar calendar, this holiday is a time to gather with loved ones, honor ancestors, and welcome renewal, luck, and prosperity.

Each Lunar New Year is represented by one of the 12 zodiac animals, and 2026 welcomes the Year of the Horse, symbolizing energy, resilience, and forward momentum.

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone in the Acknowledge Alliance community celebrating. We wish you a joyful, healthy, and prosperous year ahead.

However you decide to spend this Valentine’s Day, today is a great reminder that love and caring relationships come in many forms, and are not only romantic. Our resilience counselors work with educators everyday to provide a safe space to process their emotions and strategize solutions for issues they may be dealing with in both their professional and personal lives.

All of us at Acknowledge Alliance hope you will cherish the various nurturing relationships you have in life, and wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!

February is Black History Month, and in 2026 we mark a historic milestone: the 100th annual celebration, themed “A Century of Black History Commemorations.”

This month, we honor generations of Black Americans whose impact spans the arts, politics, sports, advocacy, and more - shaping culture, driving progress, and strengthening communities. From past to present, Black changemakers have transformed industries, advanced justice, and built pathways toward equity.

This month and always, Acknowledge Alliance stands in support of racial and social justice and celebrates the skill, wisdom, and compassion of Black leaders and community builders.
