Congratulations to Dave Roberts, MPA-C and Rachel Turner, MA, Baxter Health Family Clinic at Mountain View! They were presented Heroes with Halos Awards at Baxter Health Market Street Family Clinic by Ron Peterson, President & CEO; Sarah Edwards, Executive Director, Baxter Health Foundation; Anthony Reed, VP/Ancillary Services; Regina Love, Clinic Manager; Bailey Perricone, Office Manager, Dr. Ben Stevens; and Clinic Staff.

"I had gone to my cardiologist last August and had asked him what I could do about my energy level – actually the lack of energy. Was it due to my weight or my heart? He said if I were to lose 30 pounds, I would feel much better and have more energy.I had heard about a weight loss program provided through the Baxter Health Clinic at Mountain View – and that they came to Mountain Home once a week. So, I decided to check it out. Enter Dave Roberts and Rachel Turner – and a complete change in my life! Dave’s energy and passion for helping people change their lives is amazing. Rachel is kind and sweet – always ready with helpful tips and cheering you on. I can honestly say these two people gave me the motivation and tools for my weight loss journey. They make you feel you can do anything! While my goal was to lose 30 pounds, I ended up losing 50 - and have kept it off. And yes, my energy level is unbelievable. I am so thankful to both Dave and Rachel – they have given me a fabulous gift – my health!"

We are beyond proud of Samantha Lawrence and her incredible journey! 💙

“My name is Samantha Lawrence. In October 2024, I took a friend’s advice and visited Dave after years and years of trying to lose weight with no success.

At the beginning of 2023, in January, I had my first miscarriage at 6 weeks. Then, yet again, another in March. I was told I had unexplained infertility and that “these things just happen.” I knew, deep down, I had to get healthier to make sure my unborn child could thrive and so I wouldn’t have to relive the nightmare again.

I met Dave at the lowest point of my life. He asked me, “Why do you want this?” I remember bawling my eyes out in front of this stranger I’d never met before and opening up about the babies I had lost. Dave grabbed my hands and prayed a beautiful prayer with me, then said, “Give me a chance. Don’t take the Clomid,” (fertility medicine I had been prescribed that same day).

I went home with the regimen and decided to hold off on taking the fertility medicine. I knew in my heart the Lord had set His perfect plan in motion and that Dave had a huge role in that plan.

Fast forward to December 13th—only two months and 35 pounds later—I was on vacation, took a test, and found out my husband and I were pregnant.

I’m currently halfway through my pregnancy with my healthy, thriving little boy. My first son now gets the little brother he’s wanted for years!

I cannot thank these individuals, and most importantly the Lord, enough for helping me and hearing my cries. I get to feel the kicks of my baby, something I thought would never be possible again.

They change lives over there, and I highly recommend anyone to their program no matter the health concern. They’re definitely God-sent and truly care for you!

Always trust in the Lord, and He will guide you. I know He led me to Baxter Health Family Clinic at Mountain View!”
