Sensory processing is a buzzword that is often associated with the resistance to or big reactions to common sensory stimuli such as noises, and food & clothing textures. While those are possible signs of sensory dysfunction there are so many others that may be flying under your radar. Hi! I’m Erin Schweikert, proud owner of Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy. I have been a pediatric occupational therapist locally since 2019 and I have a passion for working with kids. I believe the biggest agent of change in the therapeutic process is collaborating with the family unit to make meaningful, long-term changes. Kids are so resilient and capable of so much, and I make it my mission to tap into and foster these capabilities. When I’m not working you can find me outdoors, enjoying walks with my husband and dog, exercising, traveling or crafting! Welcome to Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy! We are a state-of-the-art pediatric occupational therapy facility conveniently located in Mountainside, New Jersey. With close proximity to neighboring towns of Westfield, Summit, Springfield, Millburn and more, we’re in the perfect location to partner with families in Union County and beyond.

We specialize in sensory integration, executive function skills, emotional regulation, social skills, gross and fine motor skill development, feeding, and self-care/activities of daily living. Our goal is to serve as a stepping stone in your child's journey to a fulfilling future!
