Sensory processing is a buzzword that is often associated with the resistance to or big reactions to common sensory stimuli such as noises, and food & clothing textures. While those are possible signs of sensory dysfunction there are so many others that may be flying under your radar. While this is not an exhaustive list, these are some common and lesser-known red flags of sensory processing challenges. Call the office if you’d like to hear more! 👚🥪🎧🏃‍♂️😴

Hi! I’m Erin Schweikert, proud owner of Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy. I have been a pediatric occupational therapist locally since 2019 and I have a passion for working with kids. I believe the biggest agent of change in the therapeutic process is collaborating with the family unit to make meaningful, long-term changes. Kids are so resilient and capable of so much, and I make it my mission to tap into and foster these capabilities. When I’m not working you can find me outdoors, enjoying walks with my husband and dog, exercising, traveling or crafting!
