The American tank crew of the 1st Cavalry Division listened to Bernard Herzog, an American who lived in the Philippines, after his liberation from the Santo Tomas internment camp run by the Japanese in the old University of Santo Tomas campus in Manila. 1944. Santo Tomas Internment Camp was the largest of several camps in the Philippines in which the Japanese interned enemy civilians, mostly Americans, in World War II.

Our storied home, Serenity! It’s short but legendary in its own to us. To have known the precious lives and to have learned and lived there dreams.
Primed and spritzed up for our wonderful people, Serenity is almost ready for summer.

Hope our folks will enjoy and be proud to call Serenity, home!!

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
