There is one thing that all wonderful parosmia results have in common. No matter where you get your SGB or what anatomical location (C6, C4 & C6, single side, both sides or even a series of injections)…. that commonality is partial REGRESSION of results.
Simply due to geography, I have ended up re-treating patients from EVERY provider that has posted on the major Parosmia sites.
These patients all had great SGBs and initially great or moderate results. Eventually, MANY will and do regress losing some of what they regained.
ALL OF MY PATIENTS receive repeat injections for this regression FREE of charge.
One attempt to prolong the results and fight this regression is Pulsed Radio-frequency modulation of the SGB. It is more expensive and currently I don’t feel enough time has gone by (for those who have already had it done) to say it prevents regression significantly enough to justify the cost over a repeat SGB injection. This is very similar to how we treat PTSD patients. Some get repeat injections every 3-4 months, some we only see once a year.
We have been treating a cohort of patients with Pulsed Radio-frequency (free of charge) to evaluate the response at 3, 6 & 8 months. We don’t feel justified in offering PRF treatments with the additional cost until we are reasonably satisfied that the results justify the cost to you.
If however you don’t want to wait another few months (Dec/Jan) for us to conclude the first of our 8-month post PRF results, Dave Gaskin is offering these currently. Give their team a call.
I do CAUTION you against the one practice out there that posts regularly saying that they make your results permanent with PRF. They CAN NOT ethically stand by this statement in my opinion. Two years from now if the results hold, then yes they have some water in that bucket. Right now is just too soon to claim permanent results.
Please call me today I will be happy to discuss your situation with you FREE of charge always. 757-635-8998, 113 Baxter’s Lane suite 9, Moyock, NC 27958.
Below I have attached another patients kind words. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to provide several hundred SGB injections to parosmia sufferers so far. I empathize with how hard this has been for you all.
