A friendly reminder to all our residents, families, and team members: Daylight Saving Time begins tomorrow. While we do lose an hour of sleep, we’re gaining a whole lot of sunshine for our afternoon strolls and patio chats.

Pro Tip: Try to get a little extra sunlight tomorrow morning to help your body’s internal clock adjust to the change!

They say it takes a village, but at our community, it takes a family. Since today is National Employee Appreciation Day, we’re hitting "pause" to celebrate the incredible individuals who make our community feel like home every single day.

From the culinary team crafting favorite meals to the wellness team providing expert care, and the housekeeping and activities crews who keep us shining and smiling—you are the heartbeat of this community.

When residents move into their apartment at MMC, we try to set everyone up for success. Often times seniors are coming from home where they have been sitting most of the time or are coming in after having a fall. Our Gym/PT room is used by an awesome physical therapist name Vanessa who works with our seniors to keep or even gain strength and balance. Luna, Connected by Vanessa, has been serving our seniors for a couple years now. Our wellness team is able to work with their primary care provider upon move in or as needed, to add PT and work those muscles. John, Kathy and Linda are just a few of the residents that get to work out with Vanessa on one or both of the days she is in the building.

It not all fun and games here at MMC. Sometimes it's kissyface selfies and sitting in the right chair at the right time to get a shoulder massage from our Dining Services Director. OK, so maybe it is mostly fun and games.

Sarah had on some red lipstick today and Jennie just can't resist. She loves a good lip color!
When Jennie moved in, she had about 6 tubes of lipstick at the ready, they were all the same shade. Do you have a favorite lipstick shade?

Thank you to our student volunteer Nira, for dipping a whole counter of strawberries for our residents' valentine's treats. Those, paired with the cards and notes from the Multiple Intelligence's' Academy and neighboring kindergarten classes made Valentine's Day extra sweet for the MMC residents. Chocolate dipped cheers to our community!!

Tomorrow evening, we will be hosting a Scams, Spam and Tech class for family and friends. Officer Fabia from the Mukilteo Police department will have their slides and information that the Chief shared at the Mukilteo Senior Association lunch this month.
