On Sunday, December 7, 3PM, the Harrison Township Historical Society closes the Richwood Academy Cultural Center’s program series with an afternoon of great music featuring Baritone Moses Possible and pianist Elina Galletta. Both artists are recent Rowan graduates. This extraordinary concert continues the Society’s partnership with the University’s College of Performing Arts.
Praised for his warm tone and engaging storytelling, Moses Possible is skilled at both operatic classics and musical theater. In addition to his performances at Rowan, he has appeared at the Northern Lights Music Festival in Gilbert, MN, and locally at Pitman’s Broadway Theatre.
Recently, he placed first in the New Jersey National Association of Teachers of Singing’s Classical Singing Competition. In addition to performing, Possible is a board member of the LOTUS Performing Arts in Trenton, a transformative project creating powerful encounters through the arts.
Elina Galletta began piano lessons at the age of three in her native Moldova. Her exceptional talent was recognized by the fourth grade and at the age of 16 performed with the Teleradio Orchestra of Moldova. Here in the United States she has participated in master classes at Eastman School of Music and Indiana University. She holds a BA and MA in piano performance from Rowan University, where she received the prestigious Jacobs Music Award for Piano Excellence. She has been performing with Possible for the past year and a half.
“Elina and I will be presenting a number of our favorite pieces that we’ve performed in the past, as well as some new work especially for this concert, “said Possible.
The concert will be an exciting afternoon of great music performed by two talented and rising young artists. Admission is free.
The Richwood Academy Cultural Center is located at 836 Lambs Road, Richwood, NJ. Information is available at HarrisonHistorical.com and the Society’s public page where the concert will be livestreamed and archived.
