We are proud to recognize Isaac McKibban, our Maintenance Manager, as Employee of the Month! Since joining Villa Maria in April 2024, Isaac has consistently gone above and beyond to support both residents and staff.

In addition to his strong leadership in helping oversee maintenance operations, Isaac brings valuable expertise in IT, often stepping in to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly. His problem-solving skills, reliability, and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed make him an incredible asset to our team.

Isaac’s dedication and hard work truly reflect our values at Villa Maria. We are grateful for his contributions and are proud to honor him!

As we look back on Villa Maria's 75th Anniversary celebration, we would like to take a moment to recognize some very special people to the Villa Maria community, and those who helped make our celebration so special: The Adorers of the Blood of Christ, the leadership and guidance of Sr. Fran Schumer, the Villa Maria board of directors, Villa Maria leadership and staff, Catholic Care Center, Catholic Care Center executive leadership team, the Catholic Care Center board of directors, the 75th anniversary committee members, our event sponsors, gifts in kind, volunteers, music provided, Sr. Betty Adams from the Adorers for the prayer booklet and program, Bishop Carl Kemme, Fr. Dan Spexarth - Catholic Care Center Chaplain who blessed our building, The Catholic Diocese of Wichita, and Mayor Brent Allen for proclaiming August 9th as "Dear Neighbor Day".

We are proud to recognize Brecken Whitney as our Employee of the Month!

Brecken has been a valued member of our team since 2023. She is a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant who consistently goes above and beyond in caring for our residents. Her warm attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine love for those she serves make a positive impact every day.

In addition to her outstanding performance, Brecken is also pursuing her nursing degree this fall—a reflection of her commitment to growth and excellence in the healthcare field.

Mulvane Fire Department and Public Safety put on a fire extinguisher training for staff at Villa Maria and Maria Court this week. Training opportunities like this, provide first hand experience in operating a fire extinguisher, which allows staff to become more comfortable with handling these devices and respond more efficiently during an emergent event.

We would like to thank Fire Lieutenant, Fred Hershey, Mulvane Fire Deputy Chief, Lowell Esther and Chief and Director of Public Safety, Gordon Fell for this wonderful opportunity.

Remember: P.A.S.S. Pull the Pin, Aim the Nozzle, Squeeze the Handle, and Sweep at the base of the fire!

We will be hosting a Come & Go Open House on Saturday, August 9th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, with appetizers, beverage/wine bar, guided tours and more. Meet our leadership and support teams, and get a feel for our community first hand. This is a FREE event and is open to whomever would like to join us. We look forward to seeing you there!
