🟣 Ringworm: What Parents Should Know 🟣
Despite the name, ringworm is not caused by a worm. It’s a fungal infection that shows up as a circular rash and spreads outward. The fungus likes warm, moist areas and can spread through skin contact, shared items (like hats or hairbrushes), surfaces, or contact sports such as wrestling.
🔍 What it looks like:
• Ring‑shaped rash with a red, scaly border
• Clear or skin‑colored center
• May itch, crack, or blister
• Hair loss on the scalp or thick, discolored nails if those areas are affected
⏳ How long it lasts:
With proper antifungal treatment, ringworm usually clears up in about 3–4 weeks.
⚠️ Important tips:
• Don’t share personal items
• Wash clothing and bedding daily
• Keep affected areas clean and dry
• Avoid contact with pets that have bald patches

🦠 Measles: What Parents Should Know 🦠
Measles is a highly contagious viral illness that spreads through the air—sometimes even up to two hours after an infected person has left the area.
🔍 Common signs include:
• Fever, cough, runny nose, red watery eyes
• Small white spots in the mouth (before the rash)
• A rash that starts at the hairline and spreads down the body
⚠️ Measles can lead to serious complications, especially in young children—but it is preventable with the MMR vaccine.

🩺 What is Fifth Disease? 🩺
Fifth disease is a common childhood viral illness. It often begins with mild cold‑like symptoms and is followed by a bright red “slapped‑cheek” rash, sometimes spreading to the arms, legs, or trunk. Most children feel well and recover without treatment.
▶️ Children are usually most contagious before the rash appears
