As the year winds down, many insurance plans renew in January. That often means deductibles reset and premiums may shift. We want to make sure our patients have every opportunity to use their current benefits before anything changes.

If a check-in session, a follow-up appointment, or continued support has been on your mind, this is a great time to reach out. Our goal is always to help you access care in the most affordable, stress-free way possible. 💚

With so much misinformation going around on
Social Media these days it’s easy to allow fear and anxiety to set in. It is important to remember not everything we read online deserves our trust — especially when it stirs fear or outrage before giving facts.

Pause and ask yourself:

“Do I feel informed or alarmed after reading this?”

It’s such a simple gut-check that keeps us from getting swept up in emotional or misleading posts.

Here are a few quick ways to tell if a source is trustworthy:
✅ Look for sites ending in .gov, .edu, or .org
✅ Check for real authors or credentials
✅ Make sure they cite actual evidence or official sources

And if something sounds too wild or too perfect to be true, it probably is.

A few sites to trust when you want to double-check:
👉 Snopes.com
👉 FactCheck.org
👉 AP Fact Check

It’s not about distrusting everything — it’s about pausing long enough to see if something deserves our trust. 🌿

🧩 Science & Curiosity Matter 🧩

From time to time, you may see headlines about possible links between common medications (like Tylenol) and conditions such as autism or ADHD. These studies can stir up strong emotions—and understandably so.

Here’s what we know:
• Some studies have found small associations, but none prove cause-and-effect.
• Medical experts (FDA, ACOG) still recommend Tylenol as the safest choice in pregnancy when truly needed.
• The key is always lowest effective dose, shortest necessary time.

But here’s something we can celebrate: science is asking the hard questions. Every study—whether it confirms a risk or rules one out—moves us forward in understanding, and that’s how progress happens. With so many families touched by autism and ADHD, society benefits when researchers explore every possible clue.

At The Briarwood Clinic, we believe curiosity, compassion, and ongoing learning are the best tools we have to support families. 💙
