The face you make when you find out there's a $45 deposit to schedule a new patient appointment several months out... 🤨🤯
It's a little different than what we've ever done before, but earlier this year we starting requiring a $45 deposit for new patients to schedule, and wanted to take a moment to talk about why.
Since we've been scheduling pretty far out these last few years, we began noticing a pattern of patients scheduling appointments (particularly new patients) and then either missing the appointment entirely or cancelling last-minute, restricting the possiblity of filling that appointment with another patient.
Spots in our doctors' schedules are limited, and new patients cannot be charged a missed appointment fee without signing the policy - so, a deposit (that is only nonrefundable if the appointment is missed/cancelled last minute) has become the best way for our practice to manage this issue. In the grand scheme of things, it has become a policy that has saved both staff, doctors, AND patients time as those spots can be reserved for patients who plan to keep the appointment they schedule.
With that said; we welcome new patients and most definitely hope you understand! 🫶🏼
