Join us at the Yorktown Civic Green on Tuesday, August 12 from 6:00p-8:00p for National Night Out!
At this time, we are looking for monetary donations in hopes to make this a successful event. If interested, please make checks out to the Town of Yorktown (please write National Night Out or NNO in the memo line). Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated!
National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
During the event (Tues. 8/12 from 6p-8p)residents in neighborhoods throughout Yorktown, will be locking their doors, turning on outside lights and spending the evening with the Yorktown Police Department for all the fun and games! Thousands of communities nationwide will participate in the "42nd Annual National Night Out" (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the Yorktown Police Department, will involve over 17,000 communities from all 50 states, US territories and military bases around the world. NNO 2025 corporate sponsors are 7-Eleven, Associa, Starbucks, ADT, L.E.A.D., AT&T, Nintendo and Dollar Tree/Family Dollar.
