Today several of our students presented during the College of Health annual CHIRPS week! ♥️👌

Current fourth year's, Annie & Laynie, presented their doctoral project on verbal fluency and executive function in children!

Third year, Kyra, presented on hers & 4th year student Kami’s project involving patient-centered care in Audiology! They were awarded 3rd place in the graduate category! 🥳

Third years, Audrey & Rebecca, presented on foundational literature and prospective studies for health literacy in Audiology! They were awarded 2nd place in the graduate category! 🥳

Third year, Natalie, presented 4th year student, Rylee’s project on listening preferences in adults with or without hearing loss!

Finally, our undergraduate Teachers Scholar students, Brooklyn and Hannah, presented research they have worked on with Dr. Bielski! Hannah’s presentation won 1st place in the undergraduate category & this year’s Best of the Best of all the posters! 🥳

We are so proud of all our students and all of those who presented today! 🤩

Recently, we hosted our Annual Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Departmental Awards! 🤩

Congrats to our students who have a GPA of 3.8 or higher, the Outstanding Doctoral Student award & the Student Academy of Audiology Outstanding Student award was given to 3rd year Kyra Shelley and the ISHA Outstanding Student Clinician award was given to 3rd year Audrey Gaskill! 🥰

Our 3rd years were also recognized & awarded their glass cochleas as they are leaving in a few weeks their final year long rotation (externship). Congrats to all of our hard working students! ♥️👂🏼

The very first Cardinal for the Giving Tree is dedicated to the creative and dedicated individuals in Ball State’s Digital Corps, the College of Architecture and Planning’s Fab Lab, the amazing staff with Facilities Planning and Management, the Ball State Foundation, and finally, to our very own Communications Specialist, Michelle Jones, who all made this project a reality to the benefit of our students and our community members.
