Hey, 20-somethings: This advice comes to you from the future. Mindfulness and hydrating via sustainable water bottles are a great start. But, take it from everyone you know in their 30s and beyond, you don't want to be one sneeze, bend or quick turn away from back pain. Physical Therapist Aaron Megazzi demonstrates two easy moves to help build strength and flexibility.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. More than half of the people diagnosed with breast cancer will experience side effects following treatment.

Our ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation program can help patients prepare for treatment and manage side effects afterward so they can live well beyond cancer.

Early detection is critical, but so is support throughout the journey. You don't have to face recovery alone.

It’s National Physical Therapy Month. Our theme throughout October is, “Your future is better with PT!” We will highlight how physical therapy can lead to a better, stronger tomorrow.

Our physical therapists are here to guide patients through every step of recovery, from hospital to home. For our patients, that means helping them return to the moments that matter. For our physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, it means making a difference and helping people move forward.

Join us throughout the month as we highlight the power of physical therapy.

Frankie Durkin, a 12-year-old who enjoys dancing, was diagnosed with scoliosis. In order to help correct her spine curvature, Frankie and her family turned to Physical Therapist Heather Finnegan, who uses the Schroth method, an exercise-based physical therapy approach for managing scoliosis.

Since April, Frankie and Heather have been working together to help elongate and stabilize her spine. Shortly after starting physical therapy, Frankie also was fitted with a thoracic-lumbar-sacral orthosis (TLSO) brace. This brace immobilizes and supports the upper back to the lower spine, helping to further correct her posture. Frankie wears the brace 21 to 22 hours a day, taking it off for physical therapy and dance classes.

Since April, Frankie's hard work in physical therapy and dedication to wearing her brace has paid off. Her scoliosis curve has decreased by seven degrees!
