Brooks Funeral Home is honored to assist the family of Diana Dee Paczosa, our sassy matriarch, gained her angel wings while surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She spent the last 45 years with Ricky, whom she loved with all her soul. Their love was fierce and showed that with the right person by your side, you can get through anything. She’s been adventurous from the very beginning. She lived all over the U.S and has friends coast to coast. She was undeniably herself. What you saw is what you got and most loved her for it. Dee, most recently, worked at Gillie Hyde, where she loved gossiping and spending time with the girls. You could call her anytime with a problem, show up on her doorstep needing help, or simply need someone in your corner and Dee was already there before you finished asking. She had a gift for tough love that somehow always felt like just love. Dee enjoyed spending time at the bowling alley, planning adventures and trying new restaurants. But she was happiest spending time with family, being a Mimi and watching her grandbaby grow; that was her whole heart. She leaves behind a world that is a little dimmer in her absence. Her family and friends were lucky enough to know what it felt like to be fiercely and completely loved. She would want you to have a drink, laugh, love hard and don’t take life too serious for her.

She is preceded in death by Kenneth and Judy Grayson, Rocky Paczosa.

She is survived by her love, Ricky Paczosa; son, Ricky J Paczosa; daughter Shonna Baldwin (Casey); grandbaby Brooks; sister, Deborah Nelligan, Micky Nelligan, Krystin Dillard (Chase & Chelsea) and multiple cousins, nieces, nephews and fur babies.

There will be a celebration of life service held at 4:00 PM CT on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends from 2:00- 4:00 PM CT Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home.
