In Loving Memory of...

Amy Richey, age 97 of Cave City, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Signature Health Care of Hart County. She was a member at Providence United Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and working in her garden. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, caring grandmother and great-grandmother. Her church was near and dear to her heart, and she was a devoted christian.

She is the daughter of the late Claude Jaggers and the late Mary Etta Hazelwood Jaggers.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Eugene Richey; two sons, Ron and David Richey; her two brothers, Clinton and Amos Jaggers; three sisters, Alice Smith, Audrey Bader, and Martha Crain.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Vincent of Cave City, KY, Melissa Miller and her husband Timmy of Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren, Zachary Richey, Andrew Richey, Carrie Vincent, Aaron Miller, and Ryan Miller; four great-grandchildren, Draven, Haley, Jaelah,and Hadley; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

The family will welcome friends from 4:00- 8:00 PM CT on Saturday, January 31, 2026 and again from 8:00-11:00 AM CT on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Jr. Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at Providence United Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bishop Linda Ellis, age 75 of Indianapolis Indiana, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at her home. She was a member of St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis.

She is the daughter of the late J.B. Ellis and the late Vanda Richardson Ellis.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Ellis, Shirley Rice, Earl Ellis, Joe B. Ellis, Edna Johnson, Mary Ellis and Robert Ellis.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Jones; her brothers, Willie Ellis, Cecil Ellis, and Henry Ellis; several nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and other extended family.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM ET at St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, January 29, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. R.E. Robinson, D. DIV officiating.

Local visitation will be held from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Friday, January, 30, 2026 at Bearwallow Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Bearwallow Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Bearwallow Baptist Church Cemetery.

Willis K. Melton, age 79 of Hardyville, KY passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is the son of the late Lloyd Melton and the late Grace Edwards Melton.

He is preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Ray, Fred Leslie and Bobby Melton; three sisters, Alma Trulock, Glenna Faye Melton, and Thelma Sue Melton.

He is survived by his three children, Angel Melton (Ian Lynn) Evansville, IN, Nicole Boston (Eric) Munfordville, KY, and Jr. Melton, Munfordville, KY; three granddaughters, Marissa, Makayla, and Malayna Overfelt; six great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Zoey, Jace, Zailey, Harper, and Ben; a special caregiver, Roberta Wilson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to T.J. Samson Hospice for all of their kindness.

In Loving Memory...

Harlie Thompson, age 82 of Glasgow, KY passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from the maintenance department for the city of Horse Cave. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He attended Hiseville Schools where he was proud of being an athlete, playing basketball, football, baseball and ran track. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is the son of the late Emil Glenn Thompson and the late Altha Day Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Kenneth Thompson, Dave Thompson, Phyllis Short, Wanda Jewell, and Betty Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pitsy Perry Thompson, Glasgow, KY; four children, Kevin Thompson (Shannon) Auburn, KY, Byron “Boss” Logsdon (Ashley), Canmer, KY, Donna Reece (Ronnie) Auburn, KY, and Samantha Jump, Smiths Grove, KY; 16 grandchildren, Chris, Alicia, Jeffrey, Kezia, Rebekah, Kelsey, Leah, Kyle, Cory, Kevin, Skyla, Bentley, Zebulin, Aliyah, Alexann, and Kenlie; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; five siblings, Norvin Thompson (Kathy), Tim Thompson (Cindy), E.G. In Memory Of...

Gary Eugene Goodman, age 73, of Edmonton, KY, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was a member of Munfordville Baptist Church. He was saved at a young age and was of the Baptist faith. He was a former employee of Camping World and Dana Incorporated where he used his self-taught skills in the IT department. He loved sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a wonderful husband, a caring father and grandfather, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.

He is the son of the late Stanley Goodman and the late Marjorie Bryant Goodman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Lynn Goodman; a sister, Jo Lynn Chaney; four sisters-in-law, Patricia Emberton, Marcella Froggett, Brenda Gettings, and Tina Warf; one brother-in-law, Rodney Pruitt.

He is survived by three sons, Jeremy Goodman and his wife, Jennifer, Munfordville, KY, Shaun Goodman (Melissa) , Falls Of the Rough, KY, and Justin Hamlett, Edmonton, KY; seven grandchildren, Brittany Lile, Gage Goodman, Zak Wilson, Jadyn Goodman, Aiden Hamlett, Millie Hamlett, and Jessalyn Hamlett; two great-grandchildren, Kaeson and Hudson Lile; one brother, Steve Goodman and his wife, Alicia, Park City, KY; two sisters-in-law, Lecia Pruitt and Angie Branham (Richard); two brothers-in-law, Charles Emberton, Nelson Gettings; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

The family will recieve friends from 4:00- 8:00 PM CT on Monday, January 12, 2026 and again from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Eastham officiating. Burial will follow at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
