At Region Vein, our founding principle is respect and compassion for our patients and their concerns regarding venous disease. We are a private, independent physician-owned practice. Our team will treat you with respect and care as members of our “extended family”. Region Vein has the expertise. Dr. Karamichos has been treating veins in Northwest Indiana since 2007. He has treated thousands of patients and has perfected the procedures to be as pain free as possible. All care is done in the office setting. Our Doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine and is committed to minimally invasive varicose vein disease treatment. Region Vein is specialized care. Care for venous issues is all we do. Other practices may treat vein care as “a side practice” and that is not ideal for this chronic condition. Region Vein provides individualized patient care, helping our patients achieve healthier legs so they can live a more active lifestyle. Dr. Karamichos is one of the few doctors who is at the same office location all five days of the week. Region Vein is a second opinion expert. We understand that patients have a choice for vein care in Northwest Indiana. Our focus is on the venous health of your legs today and the venous health of your legs tomorrow. We utilize the best available tools, training and technology to accomplish these goals. We can treat patients with recurrence following previous venous treatment, including prior ablation, stripping, or ligation. Sclerotherapy is a vein treatment primarily used to treat spider veins and varicose veins. Sclerotherapy involves the use of a very small needle to inject a solution into the problematic veins.
