Hey all - we've been pretty silent as we waited to let some of the dust settle regarding this legislation, and as many have heard, last week the TN General Assembly decided to throw 5,000+ business owners, 25,000+ employees, and 500,000+ consumers of FEDERALLY LEGAL H**P PRODUCTS under the bus, showing that they do not answer to the people. Less than 24 hours before the house began voting on the final h**p legislation to ONLY move the regulation from the TDA -> ABC, they added amendments to make most of what we sell no longer compliant. This is devastating news, and while it's not fully over, the likelyhood of a "good" outcome has diminished to nearly nothing. Technically this could still be stopped in the senate, but this is unlikely.
We have remained apolitical for a while but that ends here. It is obvious by how all of this is played out that our government is broken, and is beholden to others than the constituents, as tons of letters, phone calls, and light demonstrations occured, but obviously was irrelevant. This is an egregious, tyrannical, and fiscally obtuse decision and sets to hurt many many people, ourselves included.
So what now? --- We will keep you updated, and we will begin rollout of our "action plan" to keep moving forward. It is our goal to stay open and operational, but it will require give and take both on our end, as well as our customers. What exactly this looks like is still being determined, but please keep an eye here as we will post information and updates.
The only silver lining is that as of right now, this ban does not go into effect until January 1, 2026, but that is subject to change as well.
